Was wondering if anyone has insight as to why this Field Guide has been delayed so long. It has gone way past it's initial release date. Amazon has it listed as being released July 27, 2010. What's with the delay? Could they holding off on publishing pending an announcement of DHS additions?

Don't know what kind of implications this has, but I do know that Marvel should be in DHS and DTD, nowhere else...

Personally, I think having a thrill ride in Fantasyland would be a mistake. FL is for kids 10 and under. I would mch rather see a thrill ride go up in place of the Treehouse in Adventureland or the Tomorrowland Speedway. Heck, replace both with a thrill ride or an expansive dark ride...

In fact, I wonder if they would recreate the Death Star attack from ROTJ where you fly into the structure and blow up it's core instead of recreatng the trench run again?

The ride video shows podracing, but at the end of the clip your pods break off and you fly out over the crowd towards the sky assumingly on your way to another destination. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a recreation of a scene from each film like another Death Star trench scene from ANH...

Wouldn't it be theoretically possible for Disney/Pixar to create it's own version of say, Spider-Man, in a film and then base an attraction/ride on that version of Spider-Man? The way UNI has the 90's TV cartoon version of Spider-Man and not the Sony Pictures version?

You might be able to just walk in. At McCormick Place there's a rule in place that the grand concourse leading to the elevated cta trains have to be accessible to the public 24/7 because before that area was built the public had access to the existing trains, so the rule holds. Security...
