Color me corrected. I feel a little guilty saying this, but I never really paid much attention to the Hop shows. Lots of fun gimmicks and everything, but the IP was just worthless.

Honestly, I think it may have been just EB that had any lines during the parade/shows.

I'm not talking about the fact that SLOP is replacing Hop, but that they're running while they're down a unit. I figured they'd just have everyone do an extra show/M&G or two.

That is... a little surprising. At least they can turn off the vocal tracks, though I don't know if they can keep the other tracks on and turn off just the Hop dialogue.

I dunno if/when they changed this, but, as of 2012, Tusker would still give out birthday cards signed by the characters there. Ironically, the cards definitely predated DAK. They featured one icon+character combo per park: Cinderella Castle+Mickey, SSE+Figment, and the Earful Tower+Roger Rabbit...

I'm always ready to call Disney out on what they do wrong, but I love that this development is finally happening. They're innovating tech, introducing something new that isn't replacing anything beloved, and offering it for (technically) free.

I still hold Spidey in much higher regard than Transformers. Having moving elements, even if they're not AAs makes the ride come to life. Heck, given the restrictions on AAs when Spidey was built, I don't even know if I would want any. Maybe Doc Ock's arms...

So apparently the Hop unit is out, my guess is when Macy's starts, if not sooner. The vehicle itself will be MIA for awhile, as it gets repurposed, which leaves the state of the full parade in an awkward position. I would anticipate extra street shows from the remaining three units to help...

Based on what I know, I fully support the change for modesty. Jasmine has seen some situations bad enough for me to not be upset about that. Really, this is the third worst offense of princesses lately, with #2 being Pocahontas' necklace and #1 being some of the lazy casting happening lately.
