Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

It's been lost. (Your fault.) But could I interest you in a very nice sponge cake?

Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

Okay, I think it's time to take down the Ugly Blue Fence and open the walkway! Any updates from people who have visited very recently?

    First Stay at Grand Floridian

Even when GF is mobbed with children (and it really can be sometimes), it is such a lovely, relaxing place. The main pool will be relatively quiet at night, but such a pretty spot. Walk over to Poly to Cap'n Cooks -- breakfast lunch or dinner = YUM. Go sit out on the dock and contemplate...

    Polynesian, Boardwalk, or Wilderness Lodge

This fall, I would look (am looking, actually....) at my transportation and dining options before deciding. Both will almost certainly be better at Poly. But I would also try to find out how disruptive the Poly refurb is going to be during your dates. And I don't know about you, but we...

Honeymoon at grand floridan sept 22-26

We've stayed at GF many times and have been upgraded once from garden view to garden view deluxe. These are my thoughts: I didn't really care for the garden view deluxe room. It's larger and the balcony is also larger. But I didn't care for the little sitting room. You can't see outside...

Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast Options During Reopening

The Benedict flight isn't on the menu right now, just a 'usual' eggs Benedict dish. And the French toast isn't on the current limited menu, either. o_O

    Transportation Hours

We're at GF later this month, so hopefully the walking path will be open and I can find out the bridge hours. One of the main reasons we booked there (besides that we love it...) is to be able to easily walk between GF and Poly for food, but I'd love to walk over and/or back to Contemporary to...

    Transportation Hours

Wow. When the bridges between GF and MK open, I wonder if it will be possible to walk between Poly and Contemporary later at night (ie: after security leaves.) Because otherwise, this really makes dinner more challenging for us. We plan to have dinner a couple of nights at Disney Springs...

    Transportation Hours

Can someone who has been to WDW recently share the hours for busses, monorail and skyliner? We're staying at GF and trying to figure out transportation for dinner. We've never really given transportation much thought when the park hours were longer -- it has always been pretty easy to get...

What days does CityWorks in Disney Springs do brunch?

We have worked our return flights around that brunch three times, I think. :) Grand Floridian Cafe has the same menu for breakfast and lunch, so I guess you could say they have brunch daily. But GFC doesn't currently have the (delish!) Benedicts trio on the menu.

    The Wave breakfast

SAME. They are so delicious. Contempo Cafe has also taken them off the menu, though I've never eaten them there because....The Wave. The shrimp and parmesan grits dish at California Grill was pretty good too -- back in the brunch days.

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

If this is truly room refurbishment, it has my full support. As long as I can still walk over from GF to get Thai meatballs from Capt’n Cooks....😀

Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

Me! We love to walk on vacation. I’d walk anywhere they would allow. I don’t walk too too much at home but we love strolling around at wdw .

Any updates on Grand Floridian refurbishments?

There is something that can be done to improve the condition of the elevator interiors. Ditto the furnishings: Humans bang them up, other humans replace them with improved materials that respect the theme but aren't damaged. Same thing at GF: Torn drapes and a smashed dresser corner are...

    masks with special needs

It totally makes sense. You described how to force the exhaled carbon dioxide out the side(s) of the mask instead of up inside the lenses.

Any updates on Grand Floridian refurbishments?

It's not the placement I was questioning, but the condition they are in. The resort grounds are beautiful at Poly but the elevators are one of the many things on the hotel side (also: furniture, lamp shades, carpeting, etc.) that are just banged up and worn out -- and that has been the case for...

Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast Options During Reopening

I don't know but we are staying at GF after the players leave and I certainly hope that dish is still on the menu. I love it! The fresh side salad is yummy also.

Any updates on Grand Floridian refurbishments?

It's not that the resort is "dated" (after all, there's no outhouse and no musty odor, so they weren't and will never be totally on-theme) but the resort rooms do have a lot of damaged furnishings. And the bathrooms (talking about the hotel side of GF) don't justify $850/night at all. They...
