We have worked our return flights around that brunch three times, I think. :) Grand Floridian Cafe has the same menu for breakfast and lunch, so I guess you could say they have brunch daily. But GFC doesn't currently have the (delish!) Benedicts trio on the menu.

SAME. They are so delicious. Contempo Cafe has also taken them off the menu, though I've never eaten them there because....The Wave. The shrimp and parmesan grits dish at California Grill was pretty good too -- back in the brunch days.

If this is truly room refurbishment, it has my full support. As long as I can still walk over from GF to get Thai meatballs from Capt’n Cooks....😀

There is something that can be done to improve the condition of the elevator interiors. Ditto the furnishings: Humans bang them up, other humans replace them with improved materials that respect the theme but aren't damaged. Same thing at GF: Torn drapes and a smashed dresser corner are...

It's not that the resort is "dated" (after all, there's no outhouse and no musty odor, so they weren't and will never be totally on-theme) but the resort rooms do have a lot of damaged furnishings. And the bathrooms (talking about the hotel side of GF) don't justify $850/night at all. They...
