Is there any way to walk from Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter to Epcot?

Guess you could take the bus, hang on the rail and walk in place. Just kidding ...... PORS is one of my favorite resorts!!!!

    Cheaper hotels near Disney World

I’ve stayed at the Fairfield Inn at the Marriot Village several times. It’s located outside of the DTD Resorts and not to far from the Crossroads Center. The rates are reasonable and if booked early, I’ve gotten the forth night free. They also offer AAA and senior discounts. Rate includes...

    quiet working places

The floor below Chef Mickey’s is the third floor. If you walk down the hall in either direction you get into the convention areas. The south wing ( ?? toward Epcot) wraps around into several rooms and a business center.

    YOUR favorite time to come?

I’ve been to WDW many times in March and yes it’s Spring Break and without a Disney room discount it’s peak cost season. But it’s relative nice weather and I enjoy baseball. The Atlanta Braves have Spring Training at the ESPN Wide World complex.

    quiet working places

The third floor at the Contemporary has lots of quit space and Fort Wilderness Lodge has several alcoves on the upper floors surrounding the main lobby. At PORS the pools over in the mansion area might be worth exploring.

    TA or not?

I’ve had great success in working with an agent from Small World Vacations. They are Disney experts and I believe they only do Disney trips. The agent will find you the best current price and then monitor your reservation for offers that may become available that saves you $$$$...

    Muppet Studios - DHS Land

Can’t disagree with you …. I personally would get a kick out of it. Maybe they could have a generic dialog at the entrance to this new land …. keep moving nothing to see hear, oh my! can you believe these people are coming to hear Miss Piggy sing ... must be first-timers, wake me when the shows...

    Are they cheaper?

If you’re thinking about staying in the DTD area, don’t just look at the room rates. You’ll find they all have a “Daily Resort Fee” some as much as $12. This covers parking, bus service, pool activities/towels …… Just state the rate, don't play games to give the impression you're cheaper.

    Muppet Studios - DHS Land

Having them comment/insult members of the audience would be something I’d like, but might cross some lines. Think they’d best focus on other Muppet characters and each other.

    Muppet Studios - DHS Land

Muppet Vision is one of my favorites. I’m a sucker for that slapstick kind of humor … Gonzo, Fozzie, the Swedish Chef, Beaker, et al. Like all your ideas, but we need something for Statler and Waldorf (old guys in the balcony) in this new land????

Which Park Holds Your Favourite Memory.

I’d have to say MK. My first trip to WDW was in ’75 with my now ex-DW. In those days MK and River Country were the only park/water park on property. Being from California and visitors to Disneyland we were amazed at the size of Cinderella’s Castle, the Monaural connecting the resorts and MK, the...

Must try alcoholic drinks and where to find them?

For those looking for a cool “adult” beverage, find the cart outside the French Pavilion and try the Orange Slush.

    How to use my tickets

The concierge desk will but park tickets bought through a broker on your room card. I’ve also had days with no expiration on a previous trip’s room card transferred. I’ve found different degrees of enthusiasm by the CMs when asked, but it always got done.

    December 2012 Roll Call

Dec 10 - 15 at PORS. This will be my third December trip. Last was in 2010 and I froze – record low temperatures that year. Other trips were cool mornings/evenings, but very nice afternoons. Hoping for clear skys and sunny days in 2012!!!!!

    Christmas decor/activities at resorts

The RV decorations over at Fort Wilderness Campground are a hidden gem. If you have a car, the “Now Snowing Nightly” in the town of Celebration is worth a look-c. Main Street is closed off and covered in snow (fake white substance). Each hourly showing has snow falling from above and carols...

Just WDW or do you visit other parks?

My WDW trips have evolved over the years. I typically arrive in Florida a week or two prior to my Disney reservation. I like to visit the town of Celebration, Kennedy Space Center on the east coast, Tampa Bay Downs (horse racing) on the west coast, Tampa Bay football games in the fall/winter...

    Osbourne Lights Question

I don’t remember the exact starting time, but it was early evening. I’m sure the time will be well published at the resorts and HS information handouts. The two times I’ve seen the show there was an opening ceremony. A guest (child) is asked to throw a large light switch as the audience does...
