    wilderness cabins

I love the Wilderness Cabins. There's plenty of space, and it's nice to have a separate bedroom - a real bargain compared to what you would pay for similar sized accomodations elsewhere at WDW. The transportation to the parks is a bit more complicated, but not overly so, and they're definitely...

    Church Services

I guess I can understand that there may have been issues, but it's a real shame. We enjoyed attending Sunday Mass at the Poly on many trips. It was a relaxing and uplifting service, and very convenient. The same cannot be said for trying to go off property. The Shrine may be a beautiful...

    Nemo Previews at Animal Kingdom

Me too :( Going again in a couple of weeks - hopefully all the kinks will have been worked out by then.

    California Grill

Interesting. Your second paragraph lists almost all of my favorites. But I can't stand the California Grill. All three times we have been there, both the food and the service were poor. Yes, the view is excellent, but there are definitely less expensive places to watch fireworks...

    Food and Wine festival cookbook.

I would suspect that you can probably order one through WDW mail order (don't know the number offhand, but it's been posted a number of times so a search should turn it up). I find this news sad, however, as one of the nice little perks of F&W was that there used to be FREE recipe cards at each...

    Worst Restaurant At WDW

Well, a matter of opinion I suppose, but the Braised Veal Shank at Citricos is absolutely fabulous. It may be my favorite dish anywhere at WDW. And we've always had wonderful experiences dining there.

    Nine Dragons Restaurant

You'll get a lot of mixed opinions about this one, but my opinion is that Nine Dragons is not a bad restaurant at all depending on what you order (although they always seem to be eliminating the dish I enjoyed on a previous visit). It's not the best Chinese you can find, but is a step up from...

Tusker House to become Character Buffet?

Us too, although we've done it on occasion. It's a real shame, because the rotisserie chicken at Tusker House is absolutely fabulous. No other Disney location matches it, least of all the buffets (the chicken at the Crystal Palace is awful by comparison).

Why the paltry selection of TV at Deluxe Resorts

Oh, you don't know what we went through last week. Wednesday night was the Project Runway finale. It's one of my wife's favorite shows, and given that Disney of course does not carry Bravo, we had set it to tape at home. However, we spent the next few days at WDW avoiding news of all sorts...

    Italian Restaurant in World Showcase

Oh my. The dreaded Disney Italian food question. Sorry, but having grown up on the cooking of my Italian mother, grandmothers, and aunts, I have to state for the record that the stuff Disney tries to pass off for Italian in the theme parks is just awful. The only plus for Alfredo is that the...

    F&W Fest -- Over-rated???

Still think it's great, though definitely much better during the week when the crowds are smaller. I'm not much of a seafood eater either, but I found lots of things to try, and enjoyed most of them.

    Epcot crowds during F&WF

Was there today, and it was deader than dead. No lines for any of the food/wine stations. Walked onto every ride except Soarin without a wait (FastPass for that). According to the cast members, that's typical of weekdays, but weekend days tend to be just the opposite - mobbed.

Nemo hours and days of operation

It was down first thing this morning, but opened around 10AM. We went on it a couple of times in the morning, and in the afternoon, with no wait at all. While they are listing it on the electronic wait board, it has not yet been added to the park guide. I got the sense that a lot of people at...

    Hallowishes from the Polynesian?

Wondering whether Hallowishes can be seen well from the Polynesian, and if so, where the best spots might be for viewing. Also, given that it will now be done nightly, does it matter whether the perimeter fireworks are being used or not? Thanks!

    Attn. Annual PassHolders

Yeah, I noticed this when I made a reservation recently. It's disappointing, because I participated in several Disney surveys when they were considering adding the ability to make reservations online, and I was thrilled when it finally became available. But unfortunately, it remains a flawed...

Question about Disney Rewards card (from Disney Visa)

OK, so I've got a nice chunk of change on my Disney Rewards card (the one that gets money added to it when you accumulate points by using your Disney Visa card). In the past, the only place I've ever used this card is at World of Disney, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can use it at the...

What WAS "If you had wings?"

One of the great things about If You Had Wings was that, back in the days of A-E tickets, it was free. So when we ran out of tickets, my sister and I used to ride it over and over again. We also made up some rather naughty lyrics, but we won't get into that here :animwink:

    ESPN zone football question

If you don't have a car, you can take a taxi. The other option I can think of is a bus to Downtown Disney and then from there to CBR.

    Favourite food at WDW?

Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes at the Kona Cafe (much better than the Tonga Toast). :slurp: It's the only restaurant/meal that we absolutely must have on every trip. I even had them make them for me for dinner once when we weren't going to be able to get to Kona for breakfast!
