The year leading up to Walt’s death, and the year following his death, was arguably the most successful 24 months of Disneyland. It saw the opening of two new lands, NOS and New Tomorrowland, and a plethora of new attractions including “it’s a small world”, the Primeval World, Adventures thru...

Disney Parks Blog says Millennium Falcon: Target Run averages 1,388 riders per hour

And that’s why I find it so hilarious that people on social media are praising the decision to delay ROTR until it’s “fully operational.” They’re not delaying the opening because it's running at partial capacity. It’s delayed because the current operations are unacceptable. When it finally does...

Disney Parks Blog says Millennium Falcon: Target Run averages 1,388 riders per hour

Yikes. I always excused the low wait times compared to other the other E’s because I assumed capacity was on the higher end. That’s not very good at all.

    Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

Total opposite of Ball Lot (behind and including level 2 of the structures), which is a total mess right now. Granted, MCML is mainly used by DCA CMs so the day is still young.

It’s actually not obvious. The ships float on shallow guide rails. They’re not completely attached to any track, it rests on top of rails. Some degree of steering is required: the ships could potentially come off the rails if the steering wheel is pushed in the wrong direction

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

The plaza was just 3 big trees before EW (such an appropriate acronym)... this is such a non-issue.

How many people can fit in Oga’s Cantina? How much is the Disneyland bar raking in? Let’s look at the math - OCR/SCNG

I imagine the plans were already in place to slowly expand alcohol service... but with profits down there’s probably going to be an even bigger push for alcohol. Cutting staffing alone is no way to make up for all the lost profits. Anyways, I do wonder how all those new DTD bars are going to...

Long live the Eastern Gateway or how I learned to love the Anaheim City Council after the election.

The Manchester CM Lot has risen in place of of the Eastern Gateway, and Katella CM Lot is officially a thing of the past. 🕯 I’d imagine Disney is holding off on any decision for more parking until they see a relief from the attendance downturn. Late August/Early September is the month to look...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disneyland opening reports/reviews

I don’t think so. TROR has been known to use paragraph breaks, unlike the other one.

Imagine how much more charm Critter Country would have if it’s buildings weren’t obscured by the monstrous Pooh meet and green. Why wasn’t that addressed in Project Sprinkle? It could easily take over some of the Pooh extended queue, sharing an entrance with the ride.

Agree about Big Ben (and also the questionable moral of the movie: that one should not give money to begging bird ladies), but I loved the Streep scene because: #1 it’s Streep, and #2 that sequence was one of the most memorable parts from the books for me.

Just watched Poppins Returns on Netflix. It seems I’m in the minority, because I loved it. It had all the magic of the original. It felt like an instant classic. I’d consider it the most “Disney” movie Disney’s put out in a long time. Loved the classic animation style when they go into the vase.

@GingerGirl3, I’m going to tell you something, “ginger to ginger”: you’ve overplayed the ginger card and it’s getting exhausting.

Structural integrity of the building is probably compromised from all the bumping the ride vehicles have been doing into the walls. o_O

Damage Control PR Spin for Star Wars Begins

Surprised the announcement isn’t going to be on a Friday afternoon. This probably means it’s opening in 2019, at least.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disneyland opening reports/reviews

It’s a holiday weekend. Park attendance is up. The last few days, actual park attendance has been almost 10k higher than what Disney’s models have predicted.

Damage Control PR Spin for Star Wars Begins

Universal did actually do something like that in its Hollywood park for the opening of WWOHP. Raised prices too aggressively and lost their core pass holders. The land was a ghost town.
