I actually saw Enchanted for the first time within the past year, and agree with that assessment. They deconstructed the tropes of Disney fairy tales quite cleverly, but ultimately reaffirmed the fundamental values of those tropes. Wish was just a series of decontextualized member berries.

We take our kids here once or twice each summer. Yes, I agree, it is very well run and maintained. It always looks pristine. Nearby Santa's Village is also immaculately kept.

Question that I've always wondered. Why does a more expensive movie need so much more advertising than a cheap one? I get that a movie dumped into the theaters with little fanfare probably won't do well, but it seems to me that advertising will only get you to a certain ceiling, and beyond...

I was there that year too. This was the first trip to Disney World where my dad had a video camera at his disposal, and he recorded absolutely EVERYTHING, even rides where it was too dark to see anything on camera.
