    Park History Websites

I belong to a FB group called Vintage Walt Disney World and it's great. Lots of postings of old pics or home movies from the parks. Plus a lot from former CMs and Imagineers. It's a very cool group.

Possible Walk Around the World Completion?

You also would need to construct a pathway from the GF to the canal, so that's an additional cost that I am sure that TDO would want to avoid. Unless they want to resurrect the "buy a brick" program again. Maybe if you pay enough you get to buy a stair on a pedestrian bridge over the canal...

Large fountain drink cups removed from Magic Kingdom?

So the WDW website is already reflecting the change to menus. Given that WDW buys a huge amount of soda and cups from it's vendors, I have no doubt they have negotiated very favorable pricing for those items. Given the price point they charge for a regular soda ($3.29, while a large is, or was...

    Fultons gone uhm Paddlefish??

I can honestly say that my last dining experience at Fulton's was the worst meal I've had at WDW. Bad food, bad service. Not upset to see these changes.

    Best Resort Dinning?

For a nice resort lunch I would say Whispering Canyon Café at WL. It's a fun experience and the food is good, plus the resort is beautiful. We weren't super impressed with The Wave at CR, and Chef Mickey's is not bad but its pricey and always booked up. I have not tried Sanaa yet but I know...

EPCOT's Food & Wine is a massive success and making headlines.

I've done F&W a few times and if you go during the week, it's not horrible. We like the food options and being able to have a few drinks from new places and such. Our last trip during F&W we were only there for 2 nights and had to hit Epcot on a Saturday. That was my first (and last...

    3 Train Operation 12/20

So while we're on this topic, does anyone know of a timeline for the Walter E. Disney to return to service?

What's your favorite restaurant in WDW?

Sentimental Must Do's - Cosmic Rays (two words...topping bar lol), Biergarten. Others that we love - Jiko and Boma, Columbia Harbour House, Raglan Road, Flame Tree BBQ. An unexpected gem for us was Trattoria Al Forno. We couldn't get near Via Napoli as it was packed, so we walked over to...

    3 Train Operation 12/20

I've never seen them run three before, but we tend to avoid the peak times. Very nice catch!

A New Martin Video: Frozen Ever After

Very nice video! I still miss Maelstrom though.... :cautious:

    FRONTIER AIRLINES

About the same as every other airline now. No frills and literally anything beyond a middle seat is an upcharge. Other than that, flew them on my last trip with no issues. They were actually cheaper than Southwest even with all the bag fees and whatnot.

First time DCL user, educate me.

Definitely talk with your TA about booking a Land/Sea Package. We've done that for the last two cruises. Short stay at the parks then off to the cruise. You can include all your transfers as well, which is nice. I would also recommend doing the parks first, then your cruise. I like coming...

    JUNGLE SKIPPER CANTEEN, ANY GOOD?

Dined there on my last trip in September and liked it. Loved the theming and the CMs are great. We enjoyed the food but found the portions small for the prices (what a surprise, right?) Would definitely dine there again. On a side note, we went early afternoon, walk ups with no ADR, and were...

    Disney Difficulty- Muliple Families

I di d a large family trip several years ago with my then wife's extended family, 14 people in all. My mother in law had the notion that this would be some sort of amazing family get together and it would be a bonding experience for everyone. My wife and I were the only ones with any WDW...

    WDW or Disney Cruise first?

If it's a first trip for either one then I'd vote to do WDW first. While the cruise line is very immersive and I can't recommend it enough, for a first Disney experience I still think the parks are the way to go.

    Animal Kingdom Lodge or Villa

The only reason I could think about why someone wouldn't recommend AKL for a first trip would be that it's a bit more remote from the parks like MK or Epcot. So totally ignore that notion and book your stay at AKL and have an amazing honeymoon. As others have said, the resort has amazing...

Why I prefer the boat from Poly to MK.

I'm pretty much a fan of any boat ride from anywhere to anywhere on that body of water. :)

Monorail line repairs at EPCOT today

It seems like there are more and more days with these "overflow" busses being put in service over the past few years. I'd much rather see an investment in more Disney transportation (we'll just leave my monorail centric wish list out of this ;) ) but I'm assuming that from a cost standpoint...
