News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

How early do you have to arrive to studios to make sure your in the park before 10? If I arrive at 9:30 or 9:45 this morning will I be in time to make it through security and ticket scan and in the park to get my rise reservation?

Passholder and Florida Resident merchandise discounts - September 2020

You have to remember that this merchandise has been sitting on shelves for 4 months, not being dusted or anything. Disney wants to start going through that product so they can restock shelves with fresh merch.

News Disney's Animal Kingdom July 2020 reopening reports

I’m really surprised at some of the negative reviews the parks experience is getting. I had the chance to visit Animal Kingdom and to be honest all I could think was “Wow, this is a very nice experience.” There was no wait for anything! Parking, temp check, security, ticket scan or ANY of the...

    Expected park attendance numbers?

Right it has to be based on 25% of their average daily attendance. What is Epcot capacity where they actually have to close? Like 100,000? If so that’s 25,000 guests which is about what they normally average so they wouldn’t really be changing anything if that was the case.

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

The odds that you catch something are going to be exponentially higher from touching a ride vehicle that thousands of people have had their hands all over then a meet and greet.

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

I think it’s interesting that Disney announced a Food and Wine festival for Epcot once they open only to have the government put a shut down to alcohol sales. I understand it’s only if it’s more then 50% of your revenue which I’m sure it’s not for Epcot, but still a lot of people will probably...

Cast Member Main Gate: reservation system

CM's are a great source of revenue for the company. They are local and can make numerous trips and will buy merch and food. Obviously Disney wants to make sure that all DVC, AP and other ticket holders have first dibs but as mentioned earlier the CM's would make a great option to fill in any...

    WDW Resorts Reopening Thread

So I noticed bloggers have been taking pictures of tri circle d ranch and such. How are they getting in to these places? Are they taking a bus from Disney springs to the resort? I think the odds that they just had a reservation are unlikely and from my understanding you can not visit the resorts...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

It doesn’t appear that way. It seems like the train has left the station and there is no stopping it. Disney makes no money with the parks closed and actually loses some when you factor in security, maintenance and custodial who have to be around to keep things running to a basic level. Now the...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I imagine they will just have "X's" on the ground in certain areas for groups. Just means less people in the prison room at a time and they just guide you to stand on the X. Or in some of the situations they could just bypass the room sequence. FoP for example, instead of having people stand in...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Epcot in Food and Wine mode sounds like the exact opposite of what would work. A bunch of people walking around with plates of food and no masks on so they can eat it? Also, how does the skyliner get back in operation? Its constant moving with no time in between to go in and wipe down after...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Something to remember when talking about how many people are going to be allowed into the park. The statements coming out are "The parks will be capped at 20-30% capacity". Well, Epcot for example has a capacity of what? 100k? So if you cap it at 30% capacity, that is 30k guests, which is on par...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

This all sounds like a previous “spirit” who used to post here. It was nice that he had finally left but I guess his ego got the best of him and he had to come back and post under a new alias.

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Wasn’t Disney and universal just in a joint meeting with the mayor and local politicians to discuss all of these things like two weeks ago? I’m sure opening timelines and dates were discussed as it benefits all of them to have clarity in a situation like this. I’m sure it makes a more fun and...

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Did I not see that SeaWorld was planning for June 1st as well? And LegoLand is also opening June 1st. So it would seem to me that everyone except Disney was on the same page.

News Disney Springs Begins Phased Reopening on May 20

Went to DS today around noon for a little more than an hour. Parking was no issue and the temperature checks were done very quickly by representatives from Advent Health. There was no wait, just walk up, they point the thermometer at your forehead and off you go. Very quick and easy. Every...
