Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

    Just concept art, sadly.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

A friend of mine was told today that this version will be getting an extra scene, albeit not a very large one. Is there any truth to this, or is it definitely a 1:1 copy?

What Do You Think is in Phase Two for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?

It’s like the Cantina; you know they’re gonna be yanking money from your wallet, but the experience is too enticing to pass up. That said, I would be disappointed if a phase 2 only consisted of a restaurant.

What Do You Think is in Phase Two for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?

The variants are still in place, but the program locks into whichever timeline the first scene falls into, so if you get the sequel trilogy for the opening, you’ll get it the whole way through. I agree with you, though; Star Tours should become the home for the prequels and original trilogy for...

What Do You Think is in Phase Two for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?

Yeah, Rise of Skywalker’s events, success, failure, etc, will have no real effect on the land’s goings on when it all comes down to it. The Evil Queen’s been dead for more than half a century, but she still manages to pop up at the end of the Mine Train every day. Even Star Tours features Vader...

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I think the visual style will actually work to the ride’s advantage; it’s such a distinct departure from the real world that if they pull it off it will be very cool, and the sheer wackiness of the cartoons lends itself well to a hyper-stylized and chaotic dark ride a la Mr. Toad. The other...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Hagrid's has very little margin for holdups due to the sheer amount of elements that are basically on top of each other, so if you have a train stall at any of them for whatever reason, there are literally only seconds to hope that it sorts itself out before every train behind it has to be...

What Do You Think is in Phase Two for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?

If I had to guess, table service restaurant next to the Cantina and a version of the stunt show from last night. It would give them an extra revenue generator and address the lack of energy on that side of the land, as well as bring some finality to the First Order show that happens by the TIE...

New Roundup Rodeo BBQ sit-down restaurant coming to TSL

Yep. Baffling that they’re not going with a rodeo (or even remotely western) play set for the Roundup Rodeo restaurant.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

You’re absolutely right in that people shouldn’t blindly defend something that they themselves don’t like, but I don’t feel that Batuu *is* a creative disaster, or that MFSR is a huge disappointment. We (me and my friends who went with me) really enjoyed it. Should they have opened the land...

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Ride/Queue Details and Discussion

I think it would feel better if we got to ‘see’ who the voices belong to at some point in the queue. There’s that fogged up window in the engine room that feels like it should have a silhouette of at least one of them working a la the toy shop outside.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

To be fair, though, the ride had excellent capacity, so it having a line at all was a sign that it was getting good ridership. I think the problem was more the GSATS than the throughput, and they thought they were killing two birds with one stone at the time.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Ride/Queue Details and Discussion

The logic isn’t idiotic just because you don’t like it, and is consistent with their approach to Pandora, most of Animal Kingdom, and with how the Star Wars films themselves are scored. The rides are cinematic experiences, so they have cinematic soundtracks. The land is an atmospheric...

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Ride/Queue Details and Discussion

*complains about not having enough Star Wars-y music in the land* *also complains about how it makes no sense to hear Star Wars-y Music on the rides*

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I believe that JttCotE actually takes you *up* to the loading platform, which for some reason makes the illusion of going down twice as cool to me.

I hear the Rise of the Resistance opening ceremony is going to be pretty interesting.

So if the FAA were to turn around and say “okay, you’re good”, would Disney start doing a nightly fly by of these things? I wouldn’t imagine they would even ask the FAA about it if that wasn’t their end goal, right?

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Except they’re not, because they’re Equity actors (in WDW).

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

So from that, it looks like Paris is getting Dok Ondar’s, the Cantina, the dinner theatre, and Rise of the Resistance, unless those are meant to be placeholders for other buildings.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yes, but to be fair, Diagon has 5 non-upcharge attractions/shows: Gringotts, Tales of Beedle the Bard, Celestina Warbeck, Ollivander’s, and Hogwarts Express, so the ratio is more like 2 to 1.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I mean, sure, but wouldn’t one expect to be able to find a droid in the droid shop? Them selling R2 replicas didn’t change the experience of getting to meet R2D2 for us or anyone around us. That’s not to say I don’t see where you’re coming from, but for all practical purposes, you *can* meet...
