HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Hong Kong may not have an equivalent law, but in the US exit signs have to be in sans serif font to be considered ADA compliant.

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

To my understanding, custom fonts for exit signs are not allowed in many countries anymore, so that is probably why newer attractions (like Falcon) simply encase them in themed boxes.

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Did we ever get more info on the sleigh coaster? It’s hard to tell from pictures whether it’s shaping up to be the park’s Barnstormer+ or something more substantial.

***Rare*** Original Disney-MGM/Sunset Boulevard/Muppet Studios Expansion Plans Circa Aug. 1989

They brought him back to play Rex in Oga’s Cantina just a few years ago, so I don’t think other attractions featuring him would automatically be a problem.

Rumor Muppets to Take Over The Hall of Presidents

I like this, but I’d imagine this also means that Muppetvision 3D isn’t long for this world.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Who’s to say Batuu doesn’t make an appearance in a future show or movie? Even Coruscant was part of books in the EU long before it was seen in The Phantom Menace, and now it’s one of the most well-known planets in the universe.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I think it just boils down to Ratatouille. If that had opened in 2020, they’d want something else for the start of the anniversary, but they can market that as the 50th’s NEW! attraction since it’s been pushed to next year.

Why Animal Kingdom is now so popular?

I think Pandora was a big turnaround because it finally balanced the number of animal exhibits and shows to the number of rides, which was a problem from day one. It’s still light on attractions in comparison to other parks, but for the most part the quality is top notch, and now the animals...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

The only trackless rides I’ve been on are Runaway Railway and Rise, but I didn’t experience the ‘open warehouse’ issues on either of them for the most part. Railway was probably the worse offender, but the worst scene in that regard (the desert) goes by so quickly that you don’t really notice...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I can’t remember if this has been discussed, but is there anything planned for the train tunnel as far as a show scene? Based on the concept art, I’m not expecting sets or props, but I could see projections of lightcycles on the side walls as the train passes through being a possibility.

Flight of Passage vs Rise of the Resistance

Rise wins for me, but both rides really take what one would expect from their respective ride systems and crank it up to 11.

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Given the rumored return of Fantasmic! as well, perhaps the thought of being able to boost capacity with an element of control (I.e. the seating) is making its return a possibility?

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

The ride building is right next to the access road backstage, so unfortunately there’s really not much they can do to obscure it on the far right side.

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Any chance they take the ride track down? There’s that Rhode interview from a few years back where he mentioned it could go overnight if they wanted to remove it.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Beyond potentially revealing too much at once (which plagued the entire presentation, in my opinion), I have zero issues with what was announced. They finally seem to be recognizing that what’s appealing about Star Wars is vastly different for different audiences, and instead of trying to...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

But that’s not what they want. They don’t want people to make one trip in a year from now to see everything. What they want is for them to come next year, ride Rat, see that Guardians is coming soon, and then book another trip for the next year. Then, they’ll see Tron is almost done, and book...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I think it will get better. Nearly every new E-Ticket of the last five years from Disney and Universal has faced significant issues during the first few years of operation. The tradeoff of pushing the limits of technology is that sometimes it pushes back.

News Kali River Rapids closing for 3 month refurbishment in early 2021

If the rapids after the drop were more intense I think it would be fine, but as it stands it moves much too quickly with very little payoff, especially when compared to to other rapids rides.

    After Rhode: What happens next?

I’m of the mind that Animal Kingdom specifically will be fine. The park now has enough to do that there’s no real need to throw things in as quickly as possible a la Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and as far as I’m aware the park as it is today is very well received. I don’t think they’ll want to...

    Expedition Everest effects status watch

In happier news, the bird seems to be working more consistently these days. I agree that the fog returning would probably move the needle of perceived quality more than a fixed yeti would, and is more frustrating because it is a much simpler (and I would imagine cheaper) problem to fix.
