News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I hated the rainbow spines, but TBH they had a much better aesthetic than the final paint job of Innoventions/Communicore.

News Structure built in Kilimanjaro Safaris?

Where do you think people live that we all just have access to zoo safaris -- much less there being enough of them to be considered "typical"? I live near one of the top zoos in the USA and we don't have something like that. And the closest thing we have to a drive-thru is where you can see...

    WDW Reopening Estimates

I linked you to the text document of his March 25th order. It literally says: "Limiting activities to only those which are most essential and practicing social distancing at all times are vital tools required to mitigate the community spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota and nationwide." The...

    WDW Reopening Estimates

I'm a Minnesotan, and that's not exactly true. If you read the initial Stay-At-Home order, it is a "Both-And" -- both to keep from people getting each other infected AND to provide hospitals time to prepare. It never was to exclusively give hospitals time to prepare and then go back to normal...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

It looks to me like they are being covered up, not removed entirely. Still, makes me kind of sad as I love spaces that are brightly lit with natural light, even though we know based on the concept art that the interior will be projection mapped.

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

You seem to be missing the point... What exactly is the criteria for receiving a pavilion icon, and why?

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

So, rhetorically speaking, should the fountains outside of Imagination not be considered part of the Imagination pavilion and therefore get their own icon?

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

I wonder why this gets its own icon in the lineup, given that it is really more a part of the Seas than a pavilion. Mousepad/MousePlanet used to be (not sure if it still is, I haven't posted there in over 15 years!) amazingly overzealous with the filters. During a Simpsons thread, it would...

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

In one of the episodes of the Imagineering Story on D+ they talk about a sparkling light that can go through show scenes. I have a feeling this is for SSE.

    News Tomorrowland love

I don't really mind the rocks, but those PeopleMover legs need to be swapped out. They do not match the sleek and clean aesthetic of the upper platform at all. If this is where they decided to cheap out, well, it looks far less coherent than not remodeling the back half of the land in 1994.

News PHOTOS - Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom to receive enhancements this summer

I wish they went for more white/gray instead of pink. The castle looked more regal that way.

Not to excuse the behavior, but one isn't a felon (or criminal) unless convicted.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment To Be Replaced With An Inside Out Attraction?

I'm not contradicting myself. You are cherry-picking what I said to fit your obviously biased agenda. WDW has a different audience than DL. DL is mostly locals and APs who go to the park frequently. The same movie (regardless of what it is) could get stale being on repeat if you go to the...

Journey Into Imagination With Figment To Be Replaced With An Inside Out Attraction?

The awful version of the Figment ride has been around longer than HISTA and Stitch's Great Escape. MuppetVision 3D has been around longer than both. It was ditched at Disneyland where regulars were ready for something new. WDW has a different audience combined of mostly out-of-towners, and...

Journey Into Imagination With Figment To Be Replaced With An Inside Out Attraction?

I don't want to see Muppets in Imagination. That said, the Muppets, while maybe not having the largest following of popularity, have also demonstrated that they can withstand the test of time more than most other IPs are capable of doing. The Muppets will continue to pull in audiences. "Honey...

News Beauty and the Beast sing-along coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

How... naïve. Theme park aficionado or not, DCA 1.0 was universally lambasted as being flat-out bad. Disney management at the time thought it was going to be MORE popular than the original Disneyland. They were unequivocally wrong.

News Beauty and the Beast sing-along coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

He comes across as so smug, it drives me up the wall. Part of why I really enjoyed EPCOT as a child is because it appealed to the very curious side of me that wanted to know how things work, and who wanted to interact with the world around me. I always enjoyed field trips to historic sites...

News Beauty and the Beast sing-along coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

While I don't have historical numbers for this particular pavilion, let's not forget that EPCOT had higher attendance when they didn't have movie characters being shoved into every corner they could be conceivably shoehorned in. EPCOT (and all theme parks) need to have experiences that can be...

News Beauty and the Beast sing-along coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

Who is this Rob Plays guy, anyway? He seems to be under the, ahem, impression that watching IdF on your home TV is the same experience as watching it in the Palais du Cinema and that Beauty and the Beast is "good" because it is "popular". He claims that France pavilion doesn't need to inspire...
