    Bay Lake Studio Rooms

The studios are quite small. We stayed once for 2 nights - 2 adults and 2 teens. The space was tight. The bathroom is a nice size and so was the balcony. But the bed and pull-out couch are very close to each other and other side of the bed is close to the wall, really hindering accessibility...

Once you go Deluxe (or DVC) it's hard to go back.

We are long-time DVC members and we rarely stay at the hotel resorts now. But on our many WDW trips pre- DVC since 1981, we stayed at all the deluxe and moderates at one time or another. Our one stay at All-Star Sports was a kid favorite, but not so much for the adults. My two favorite...

    Does Mears make multiple stops?

Yes, they can potentially make several stops. We use Magical Express most of the time now, but we have a good deal of experience with Mears. One of the only times we lucked out was when we arrived around 8:00 pm on a very rainy Saturday in September. The dispatcher put our small group (3) in...

Your ESPN choice for the Super Bowl.

We were there one year for the Super Bowl and had burgers and their fabulous nachos! We had a great time!

Just how busy will the last week in August be?

We normally visit during that week or the week before. I can't say crowds have ever been a real issue. The weather? Mmm...but that is no surprise. You might get an uptick due to the Labor Day holiday, but not much of one except for maybe locals.

    Great rooms at OKW Resort??

The Hospitality area is wonderfully convenient, especially if you don't have a car. However, there are internal resort buses if you choose another area.

Notifying Disney of a Food Allergy?

Disney does an awesome job with this. That is so reassuring to those of us with family members who have food allergies.

    Planet Hollywood

We have not been there in a while, but I remember their system as being pretty sad. We were waiting in the lobby area, but the music is so loud, we could hear nothing, so DH positioned himself near the hostess so we didn't miss our table when it was ready. The food was okay, but not really...

    PA to WDW...train versus plane?

My mom and I did this about 10 years ago from Philly. Amtrak had a 2 for 1 price deal ( although I don't remember the fare). We traveled in mid-March. The train left 30th Street Station around 3:00 pm and arrived in Orlando at around noon the next day. It was okay. A little too slow for me...

temp and crowds mid january early february

Early February was great IMHO. 60's dring the day; chillier in the evening. Great for touring. Of course, it could be warmer.....or colder. Crowds were low. The only time we tried a January visit was quite a while back, in mid-January (for my birthday, which sometimes coincides with the MLK...

Has anyone put 5 in a studio???? (yes I know your only allowed 4)

The OKW studio is quite large. I one stayed there with 3 other gals on a "girls only" trip. We were still friends after the trip, but space was tight and other than the balcony (and bathroom) there was no place to be alone for 5 minutes. I would not recommend trying to put 5 folks in the...

What Airline Do you fly to WDW?

We use USAirways most of the time; Southwest if the fares are comparable. USAirways has many more flights to choose from and many are non- stop, which we prefer.

What is your favorite place to eat on Disney property??

Olivia's for breakfast and Trail's End Cafe for dinner.

    Boarding tickets on cell phones

USAirways is using it, although I think it might depend on the airports involved. One less piece of paper to keep track of works for me!

DVC How big is too big?

I would consider it sort of a wasteful use of points for two people, but you'll have lots of room! We had sort of the same issue for our November trip, but booked the one-bedroom at OKW, which has both the sleeper chair and sofa, so we're covered.

Trail's End Buffet For Dinner / Pricing

We love it there! Were just there last month and I'm making an ADR for our November trip. Highly recommended for a great meal with wonderful "comfort food"!

    My Disney Vacation Advice? Florida

Vero Beach is a Disney Vacation Club resort. It's about a 2 hour drive from Disney. We haven't had a chance to check it out yet. My neighbors were in Cocoa Beach (cue in 'I Dream of Jeannie' music!) in June and they loved it.

    Unofficial Guide

Just an FYI --- the UG is available in a Kindle edition too. But there is no table of contents, making it difficult to use purely as a reference guide while at WDW. Still fun to read though!

    April or may

May still seems very nice if you avoid the holiday and visit early in the month. We've always enjoyed pretty decent weather, although it can get quite warm. Crowds are fairly moderate and don't seem to be an issue except maybe on the weekends.

Staying at all resorts - which ones have you stayed at?

Not quite all .... - Contemporary on several trips - Polynesian as part of Disney Cruise - Grand Floridian when it first opened - Old Key West (home resort) way too many times to count! - Saratoga Springs on 3 trips - Boardwalk DVC - Beach Club (hotel) - Beach Club (DVC) on 2 trips - Fort...
