WDW Space Mountain is better than Disneyland's. Change my mind.

Erm, everything about the DL SM is better than WDW. Better cars (two abreast seating versus single row), soundtrack (speakers behind each rider), track (somebody said WDW track was better, I disagree), seasonal overlays make it more interesting too. Admittedly, I visited DL countless times...

Biergarten show, is this lineup from day one and what’s your favorite incarnation of the show?

I just watched this show this week. I'm local now, but previously had visited EPCOT in 2005 and 2015. Don't recall ever seeing dancers and am pretty sure I saw this same show or VERY similar. It's charming and a great way to share old-world German culture. There's a restaurant in Sanford...

Disney World Has Gotten Too Expensive

I have made this complaint before too. Pre-COVID, "Premiere" AP prices at DL/DCA were around $2400PP. Prior to that, I had been a passholder for four years, but living in Sacramento (roughly 7 hours from Anaheim), it became more and more difficult to make enough trips for the pass to pay for...

Should Disney create theme park attractions based on the Simpsons when they are legally allowed to do so after the Universal deal expires?

Without rendering any particular judgment on the Simpsons from a content perspective, I'm a hard no simply because I have already experienced the Simpsons theme park spaces at Universal. I can't even conceive of them as Disney. LOL!

Once Upon a Studio short film - missing characters

Interestingly, Baymax is in the final "photo." I thought BH6 was a Pixar film, but it's Disney Animation Studios. A little Googling and I saw that Baymax is actually a Marvel character, but Disney opted to keep him out of the MCU. This is confirmed in the Wiki...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

IMHO, these rides aren't even comparable. I love both, but I consider Tron a thrill ride. I love the initial acceleration at the beginning, but in terms of visuals, there isn't much. If you're a fan of the films, at least the ride makes some sense. GOTG, Cosmic Rewind is objectively just...

    Best ride at Magic Kingdom?

I voted Tron, which I see is fairly low in popularity in this particular instance of voting. I chose that ride because the alternatives that I like a lot are not as good at WDW as they are at DL. BTSM and SM are both better at Disneyland. They are objectively better in that SM has better...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

As a long-time visitor to DL and having repeatedly experienced both versions of both rides, I respectfully disagree. I think, objectively, both ride experiences were improved by the re-themes, especially if you are a fan of the films. I was very skeptical about GOTG, MBO as I felt Disney had...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I rode Screamin' for years and thought the re-theme was awesome. Gimme dat NUM-NUM Cookie at the end too! (got milk?) More or less the same with ToT to Guardians. When I heard that was taking place I was ed. I knew they were rushing to get a...

World showcase with 8…..no, make that 7 countries

Bringing the Matterhorn to WDW would be EPIC! (and I'm talking about the ride! LOL!)

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I really couldn't speak to any of this directly. I'm a Cali transplant and what I can say is that I think the whole TSL space is a mess. The Anaheim bunch have rethemed the entire former Paradise Pier space into Pixar Pier. Despite this, it's still a more cohesive "land" than TSL. The...

I don't care what anyone says, I will always love...

That first entry into DL or MK in the morning, walking through Main St. Square and on down Main St. holding my sweety's hand... Back when they had it, I loved being picked up by the Magic Express at the airport to begin my Disney immersion (as others have mentioned)... Watching any Disney...

    Christmas Day Parade 2023

I was in the MK park the day they did filming for this year's 40th anniversary parade. We found a spot to watch the parade itself just across the bridge to Adventureland (so sort of at the left-rear of the castle). We could see the backs of several characters dancing in the Hub periodically...

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

I agree that if you haven't seen the movie the ride isn't as "good" or fun. But, my GF has never seen either Tron film and she LOVES the ride. The ride certainly makes more sense if you've seen the film. It's not a "race." It's a battle to the death. LOL!

Serious: any hope for a visit to Orlando as a trans woman?

I'm very sorry to hear of your fear. While Florida may be "politically" unfriendly to the LGBTQ community, Disney is not. In fact, one of Disney's 5 core "keys" (values) is Inclusion. I agree with others here who say to just go for it.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

Yeah, all of that stuff comes from the film. In both Tron films, the lightcycles don't race, they are in a battle of life and death (or, in the case of the "programs" piloting them, deresolution.). As for the ride itself, I love the initial acceleration and the trip through the game grid.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

I think the Tron coaster is pretty fun all on its own. I agree it's a short ride and it's better at night. I would add to that, however, that the enjoyment of the ride is increased if you're a fan of the film. (Tron Legacy) The ride "story" is right out of the movie. =]

The Future of Dinosaur - You Decide...

Having ridden both rides, I'm for going Indy all the way. I would also include the long and elaborate ride queue which has some cool interactive elements. As for my "reasoning," I just think the Indy version of the ride experience is more fun and relatable whole dinosaur theme.

Is EPCOT worth the price of admission?

Agree! Single day/park tickets are just too expensive. When you get multi-day tickets/hoppers, that's when the value kicks in. As for things to do at EPCOT (to the OP), since the World Showcase is the "main" feature of the park, there are ride attractions worth doing. Ratatouille, some of...

    Unpopular opinions about the parks?

"Unpopular opinion" is a subjective thing. For example, my opinion of upcharge events (MNSSHP and the Xmas parties at MK and HS) is that they are just not worth the money. I think it's ridiculous to charge people obscene amounts of money for less than a full day in the park with marginal...
