    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

Thanks for posting this. I've been on the fence about whether to purchase, but now I think I should get it.

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

Great post and interesting comparison! Also, bought back some fun memories of the NWO and Bash at the Beach. Note - I'm still a huge WDW fan, but haven't watched wrestling in over a decade.

    Best breakfast at Uni?

I agree that the breakfast at Kitchen is very good. My family had 3 breakfasts there when we stayed at the Hard Rock a couple years ago and we all enjoyed the food. That said, I'm not sure I'd make a special trip there if you are not staying at the Hard Rock or the Portofino.

Character autographs at dining to be cut

Glad you are happy with your "case". And if you don't like the changes WDW makes to increase profitability, I hope you have stopped visiting so that your voice in the form of your spending (and not just your "case") can be heard.

Character autographs at dining to be cut

All the number crunchers should care about is whether the change nets WDW more money. That makes for a good number cruncher. If this change turns so many people off that the character dining experience are less profitable, then this change was a mistake. If people keep going and it allows WDW...

Character autographs at dining to be cut

Fair question. As I kid I threw them in a box in my bedroom closet with some old toys. I found them when I moved out 20 years ago and left them along with most of my old toys at my parents house. I was never good about throwing things out.

    Which Park to Pick?

To be clear, you understand that Universal has 2 parks (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure), right? Personally, I would prefer AK because I enjoy the animals, the shows, Everest, Kali and Dinosaur, but if the only real draw for you is Pandora, then I would spend the second day at...

Character autographs at dining to be cut

I wonder though how much of the negative response is just a reaction to the switch of something that has been at WDW for decades rather than a real loss of value to guest on the whole. If for 40+ years, WDW was having the characters give out free pre-signed cards ... and then WDW decided to...

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017

Looking forward to showing a video of the 2017 parade to my 2 year old daughter. She loves watching prior years' Halloween parades and calls it .... "Mickey's Booty to You Parade".

    PARK HOPPER

That's way too much for 1 day with kids that age. I suppose the 1 year old can nap in the stroller so he/she might be ok, but way too much for the 7 and 3 year old. In addition to being tired, the 7 year old will not be able to walk fast and there is a lot of walking in AK. Where are you...

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

Prices should follow demand (not inflation or product quality). I suspect that demand for WDW and other forms of entertainment has increased substantially over the past 25 years. I'm not defending the WDW product decline ... I'm not happy about it. But I have no issues with the prices charged...

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

This is awesome! How I miss Discovery Island. Though I suspect that today's kids would find it boring. Not sure they would appreciate the 80's version of EPCOT either (which I also loved) ... unfortunately we will never know because that EPCOT is not coming back.

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

This is what I did for my last visit. 1 day at MK and the rest at Universal. 10 years ago I never though that would happen. That said, I have a 2 year old now and my next few visits will be exclusively WDW. Universal doesn't have enough to offer for her at this point.

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

Are there enough that feel like you to make a difference? I confess I spent less time in WDW and more in Universal my last 3 visits for this reason, but those were pre-kids. However, now that I have 2 year old, my wife and I plan to make annual visits to WDW. And many of our friends with kids...

Inside of 3 weeks, need critique on final itinerary

As my wife reminds me, part of enjoying a WDW is not having every little detail planned out. Sure, you need ADRs, Fastpasses and a general idea, but I'm concerned you have so much detail and scheduling that you will lose out on some of the fun. And as others have pointed out, lines and travel...

Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

Fair point. I may be generalizing too much from when I rode Dinosaur a few years ago with my then 5 year old nephew. He was a bit nervous and held my hand during ride, but he loved it.

Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

What's wrong with Dinosaur for young kids? The height requirement isn't too bad so most 5 years olds and the majority or 4 year olds should be able to ride. And most kids (I realize there are exceptions) who aren't tall enough won't be emotionally ready at under 4 years old for non-cartoon...

Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

Mine too. I remember in the 80s waiting in lines 90+ minutes long for Universe of Energy and thinking it was worth it ... seems hard to believe now.

    A few random ?'s

I had Dr. Scholl's inserts delivered to my room when my feet were aching after 1 day at the parks a few visits ago. Now I bring them with each time. They worked very well for me.

Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

I agree that kids shouldn't be the final arbiter, but I also think as adults we sometime forget what appeals to young kids. My nephew's favorite ride in all of WDW on one visit was Goofy's Barnstormer (he was 5 at the time). He rode it over and over and had a blast. He was too young then to...
