Lots of cool stuff in here! I like the resort and park photos the most.

Sony makes good gear. You also can't go wrong with a Canon or Nikon. All my gear is Canon but that's mainly because that's what I started with. Photography is one of those things that you start out with entry level and build and build until your rig gets so big and cumbersome you look for a...

When did swimming in Bay Lake end?

And the French Quarter only has the one pool. They used to have a hot tub that I saw adults in late at night. I say used to because it's been pointed out to me that things have changed a bunch since I was anyplace besides Ft Wilderness after 2012.

February 2-7 - Why so booked?!

Anybody know when the Daytona race is? We went several times and stayed at Disney so the rest of the family had something to do. There were a lot of people taking the race shuttle from the resorts to Daytona. Just a thought.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

Been reading through this thread over the last few days. First thing way back in the beginning was the campsite for $55 a night. Below is what we paid for May 2019 and Dec. 2018 for the bean counters. Maybe you can take your cost per unit sense and determine if a site is profitable. That’s...

    The fallacy of overcrowded parks......

Perception is reality. It doesn't matter what the official statistics say, if you can't move because of crowds, if you can't ride on anything in a standby line because it's 2 hours long, if you can't sit down and eat a quick meal, it's crowded. As stated above, if you go to the parks and can't...

What's the max amount of time you could spend at WDW without getting bored?

That we did in the beginning! Our comment was always "damn! we need a vacation from our vacation!" We really turned into freestyle park people. Last trip was 2012. When we were planning our Dec trip (2018)I found out how tough it was getting fast passes as well as our regular dinner at O'hana...

What's the max amount of time you could spend at WDW without getting bored?

For years it was a 7 day length of stay park hopper. The last few years (we went every year) I was done after 5 days. Did everything we wanted to do in 4. Went back after for do-overs. Pool and resort time picked up also. Went for 6 days last December and we were done after 3. Had one day left...

    Roundabouts at Disney

Some of the issues I see with roundabouts. The main issue is you really need to know where you are going before you hit them. If you can visualize what road you need to be on so you can continue on the other side of the roundabout you are ok. If not, confusion. People who use them every day are...
