I totally agree that Epcot needs some love, but this sort of ambitious project scares me a lot. I am worried the current administration will butcher the park beyond repair. Is there some hope? Can I get excited about this?

It happens! I think you made a good point. Can you imagine seeing a giant smiling Kermit from Star Wars Land? That would totally crush the suspension of disbelief. When I go to a Disney park, I go to be immersed in the land. That's the beauty of a Disney park. Maybe it wasn't always that way...

I had this lengthy typed up response, but honestly, I do not wish to derail the thread any further. All I'll say is, that if you really think and feel all of that, you do not understand what it means to be in a Disney park.

Yes, the HM and IASW buildings are very visible after the Tangled Toilets were put in there. Bad show.

This is a good sign. I am very happy they're doing this. Shows that dedication to show quality is 100% dead throughout the resort. AK is the last park that doesn't have horrible show-related issues (Chester and Hester's notwithstanding).

While not disagreeing with you (you have made accurate observations and probably know more than me), I find this ridiculous. Exactly. I feel like if the facades I mentioned were demolished, you would be able to see much more. Which personally, I am okay with because then we'll get more updates, but seems like bad show.

I wonder if they'll keep part of the Backlot Tour and Streets of America up for now, to hide the construction? It's pretty horrendous show to have that much construction visible. The entire back of the park is demolished. This is crazy. (In a good way!)

Yeah I guess you're right. I took for granted that one would move to tier 2 but that doesn't appear to be the case.
