This I dont know... I just know that on the backside of the building there were these two holes in the ground, one was for draining the ride and the other for filling it. I think it was fresh, or maybe non potable water or whatever its called. :P

Maelstrom didnt have a reservoir... All the water was drained completely and refilled next morning.

Maelstrom never had a tesla effect for the North Sea-scene. Its true that they were and checked it out to see if they could make it happen, but electricity and water dont really go too well together so they scrapped that idea...

It would be so cool if they made an exhibit about the northern areas, with the polar bears and puffins from the ride in it maybe. Or an exhibition about Norwegian myths and norse mythology.
