    Best Character Dining Experience

Our favorite character meals (which has to include good food too) are: Ohana, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill (past couple of meals have been just ok), and perhaps Chef Mickey's (the food is ok).

    WWYD Dining Reservation changes

I can understand your passion for Beer and Cheddar soup. :hungry: It has been so long since we have eaten at Le Cellier, 9 yrs maybe. Perhaps we might try it again (@sxeensweet "twisting arm"). It will have to be the trip after this one. We are doing the Food and Wine Festival which we...

    WWYD Dining Reservation changes

"We can agree to disagree." :) My DW and myself have had a couple of bad experiences at Le Cellier. Most likely the luck (in our case bad luck) of the draw with our bad experiences. Other steak favorites are Kona, Jiko and Flying Fish Cafe. :hungry:

    WWYD Dining Reservation changes

We love the pizza at Via Napoli. We would have a difficult time changing that one but if we did, we would do Marrakesh or Rose & Crown. We still enjoy Ohana's for breakfast but if you are doing lunch or Dinner, we would Flying Fish Cafe or California Grill.

    Confirmed Closing Date for Maelstrom?

From several posts, I haven't seen anyone getting a FP+ including myself for October 9. It's a sad day. I was hoping to ride it at least one more time. I am glad I rode it last year.

Fastpass Plus Be Our Guest Conflicting Reports

@muse1983, I just spoke with a CM, and the emails are sent out about 28 to 30 days prior to one's arrival date. And yes it is your reservation confirmation number. I had to call because I just had my AAA confirmation number and that does NOT work. Good Luck!!

October 2015 Trip - Car Rental

For the past several years, we have always rented a car even if we were doing Disney. Renting early can possible save you money, and you could possible get a cheaper rate if you rent for the whole week compared to 3 or 4 days. CAUTION: You mentioned going to Tampa to visit. Around the Tampa...

    A full day at AK?!?!

Well, you might be able to do a full day. 2 shows I highly recommend: Finding Nemo and Festival of the Lion King. Another show I heard was good but have not seen is Flight of Wonders. Do the kids enjoy the Meet and Greets? If so you could do several of those, pictures and autographs. Even...

    Epcot - Japan Pearl

We did it last year (June 2013). My DD did the 1st one. She got a 7.5mm grey or silver pearl which she setup on a necklace. They did such a great presentation my DS wanted to try it too. He got a 7.5mm white pearl. He just kept the pearl in the little glass container. It was an enjoyable...

    T-Rex

T-Rex is a good choice for the kids plus the adults. My DW is not a big fan of Rainforest but she liked T-Rex. If you don't mind the loud noise during your meal, I think you will enjoy it. Make sure you make reservations.

Trip Itin.. (1st timer).. is this ok ?

With it being low season, you maybe safe without the EP, but I worry about the HP sections slowing you down. I know the EP's can add up since I have purchased them in the past. The big wait time rides are: HP and the Escape from Gringots (US), HP and the Forbidden Journey (IS), Amazing...

Trip Itin.. (1st timer).. is this ok ?

That was my thinking @CheshireCat12. Universal Studios P2P can be done in 1 day but with the new HP section it might be a problem. Another problem with doing P2P in December is the shorter hours too. If you are really wanting to do both Parks in 1 day, you might want to think about the...

    Opinions: Poly vs Contemporary

Between Poly and Cont. Poly, hands down! Even when we don't stay there, we always make it a point to stop in. Either for a meal or the shops.

    October crowds

October is a great time to be at Disney. Columbus Weekend is not too bad but it is a little more crowded than the other weekends in October. If you go to Epcot and you are not interested in the Food and Wine Festival, I would avoid the weekends at Epcot. Have a great time!
