T-Rex

Thinking about trying T-Rex restaurant. I will have a 5 and 2 year old at vacation time. Is this restaurant scary for little ones? We tried rainforest a couple of years ago and my almost 3 year old was scared of the gorillas. Just wondering if anybody's kids were scared of this one? Thanks.

My son was 2 when we were there, and he wasn't frightened in the least. To be honest its more loud than scary

I would say it all depends on the child.. I find the trex a very dark restaurant compared to rainforest, and there is still some loud noises. My 5 year old cousin was petrified of the rainforest, my aunt and uncle had to leave with her..

We took our 2.5 year old daughter in May, seated in the ice room, and she absolutely loved it. But a family member took her 2.5 year old son a few months earlier, and they had to leave because it upset him. My daughter loves dinosaurs and doesn't frighten easily, so I didn't think it would be a problem for her, but you never know. It's definitely dependent on each kid.

My daughter went for the first time when she was 4 and loved it! We go every year. It can be loud during the meteor shower, but if you sit in the ice cave area it doesnt get as dark and there are no dinosaurs nearby.

T-Rex is a good choice for the kids plus the adults. My DW is not a big fan of Rainforest but she liked T-Rex. If you don't mind the loud noise during your meal, I think you will enjoy it. Make sure you make reservations.

Unless your three year old had a specific fear of gorillas, I would not chance T-Rex. It is darker than Rainforest, louder than Rainforest, and a lot of the same type of effects. It really is loud.

We have not been to TREX yet, but have an ADR this fall. Can you request this 'ice cave'? Is this the quietest location?

I have a 3 year old autistic nephew and louder noises tend to frighten him but he absolutely adored T-Rex. We went for a late lunch, I believe it was 2pm and it wasnt too bad at all.
