I have to wonder how long ago they made the decision to announce this for D23.. Was it a reaction to people demanding something tangible for the event? Either way this was the definition of being thrown scraps.. I begrudgingly agree with a few people here that Disney doesn't need to react to...

This site posts vetted information. The most popular home movie makers do not. Also this site doesn't talk or record on rides distracting other guests. I understand not all people who do this on rides are vloggers but the vloggers are the only ones who are making money to be a disturbance.

So I spoke too soon!! Tonight there were by far the most people I've seen in the park in months!! A real significant number of people came out to view the show and I wondered why... Then I realized it was a not so scary Halloween party night. It all made sense! I was shocked to see the bridge...

It is definitely not a ghost town. There are a few very thriving restaurants but also a bunch of empty spaces. Icon park is essentially the same thing just better resttaurants. I have no doubt that pointe Orlando will be very popular again soon though.

Because it will be the new cool thing? Park reservations are rarely unavailable.. I mean they could force them to go to other parks but that is really scummy.. Forcing me to order a bologna sandwich when I am at the same restaurant paying as much as people ordering lobster?

I don't know, i feel like additions to MK would add capacity but just steal guests from the other parks.

This is the biggest take away... They must have dumped a good amount of money ,albeit much less, producing epcot forever too.. I really hope they don't hold back on the new show but who knows? They seem to spend so much more money than they have to..

We go to pointe orlando all the time with friends to Capital Grill.. Aside from going to Taverna Opa it is fairly dead.. These places are going to be very popular!!

I have to ask how many people here have already seen it in person? I have stated in the D23 thread that this is going to disappoint people.. The effect is not always visible to you and it took us several rides before we got to see it happen. It also doesn't really look like any other ghost on...

But I was told that I was making up the fact that the crowds to see this were significantly less than they were just a year ago.

I tend to agree... A 5th gate will only take guests away from the other three.

I cannot recall but it does feel like a knee jerk reaction to the Epic Universe news/progress. That project seems to be coming along very quickly and aside from the inevitable delay from the pandemic, they seem to be making very good progress.. I almost feel like even if Disney was ready to...

Having seem it in person.. it's not great. The "look" of him is definitely not cohesive with the ghosts in the rest of the attraction and the effect is so very limited. We rode the disneylands HM like4-5 times and say the effect once. It's absolutely over hyped.

All y'all praising a hatbox ghost. you're going to have to ride HM 10 times to see this effect happen. It's the most underwhelming thing that WDW fans should be excited about

Seems to be less and less of the typical vloggers though. More of the ones attached to travel agencies or major sites seem to get the access now. I would never consider DFB or All ears vloggers though. Their production and editing puts sites like that way above and beyond the selfie style...

It's not a Disney ride.. it's a guardians of the Galaxy ride. I think it's just ok, and not even close to the best themed coaster in Orlando, but music plays a big part of the guardians movies. This type of music absolutely belongs on that attraction.
