I highly question what he’s saying. I severely doubt Disney has suddenly started putting strangers right next to each other with no gaps or barriers. Anyone able to back him up?
^this. When plexiglass was added, the ride didn’t see a huge jump in how many boarding groups they call in a day. The groups are a function of how many guests can be dispatched at a time. If they KNOW they won’t be using one of the lifts all day, boarding groups likely have fewer guests per...
I mean, the number of boarding groups called per hour has pretty much remained constant compared to when the ride first opened in December and when the ride reopened in July with reduced capacity and when the ride doubled that capacity in October with plexiglass. It’s almost definite that the...
Honestly this is great news. Sure, if you hate mornings then maybe 7 am is rough, but like others said you can just roll back over and fall asleep a few minutes later after you get your boarding group.
This is a very important part of mitigating crowd control and another essential domino...
Sounds right. Frozen is 5 characters with 2 casts per day. That’s 14 shifts per week and at least 3 performers per character. Likely 4 if anyone ever wants a vacation or if someone gets sick. So that’s already 20 Equity performers right there.
Dapper Dans is 4 performers a day and 28 shifts a...
Meaning more guests on each vehicle and therefore more guests able to ride each day and more boarding groups handed out.
Expect plexiglass to be added to a few more rides as well shortly.
FYI this happens very often. Almost daily. When they run out of queue space at Center Stage they literally have no choice but to stop allowing access to the queue until the line clears some and then reopen it later.
The number for Studios is definitely not 25% of the fire department capacity but is much closer to 25% of the capacity for the shows/attractions that are currently available
You are basically correct, with the exception being that some lines are better controlled than others. They pretty much want every line contained in the queue and not spilling out into the main thoroughfares. A queue like Jungle Cruise is tiny, but something like Mermaid is massive. I think the...
Were there ever any true sellout days in August? I know there were some days without availability for certain groups, but were there ever any days outside of Studios where AP and Resort and Tickets had 100% of their availability booked out and everyone showed up for their reservations?
