I want to buy souvenirs at the place I'm visiting. It's part of my vacation memories. I also don't want to spend more time on my phone.

I love the theming in the retail shops. The attention to detail is fantastic. I just wish there was unique merchandise that I was tempted to buy, but that's the fail.

This makes me think the ROA will be drained and filled with cement. I wonder if the same fate is planned for the JC.

I haven't seen the Frozen ride, but I have been on the 7DMT and Ariel rides. IMO they are both MEH. On the other hand, RSR at DCA is a solid WOW. I think the fans know what Disney is capable of, so it's really disappointing when a long anticipated attraction doesn't live up to expectations.

I don't think wealth is a measure of trashy behavior. Let's face it, trashy behavior can be found in every race and at every socioeconomic level. I also think that there are always people who feel compelled to flaunt their wealth whether it's real or imagined.

But re-purposing the Frozen ride took over 2 years.

Overall, I think the food at WDW is pretty mediocre to lousy at most places. But I always look at the Unofficial Guide's guest survey before I make my plans and try to pick places that received a better than average rating, It's the same for DL. IMO, it's easier to find decent food at DLR...

I also included the fact that Disney is planning on building more of these upscale communities. Golden Oak is a hit, so they will keep on building more.

Based on what I've read, Disney's target is the Golden Oaks people. I also believe they are planning on building more of these communities and they need an exclusive place for these people to congregate away from the riff raff.

Kind of like the cabanas and the Poly Bungalows

Jim Hill and Len Testa mentioned this was coming to WDW about 6 months ago. According to them, Disney is trying to cater to the Golden Oaks residents. They also said that Golden Oaks is so popular that another luxury housing development is in the works.

Earlier, someone mentioned when the airline computers crashed and all of the flights were cancelled. I think I would be safe in guessing that the airlines have implemented stop gap measures to prevent this from recurring. Whereas, Disney seems to ignore their crashes. It's Groundhog day...

So how did this work? If the app was down but you knew you had a FP for a particular ride at a particular time, but the ride CM's couldn't confirm. Were they turning people away?
