Why are you allowed to keep your bag between the bag check and the metal detector?

And this is one of the reasons that security checks are being spread out, and are being redesigned to keep from having a massive throng of people lined up outside the park, where an attack, god forbid, would be more successful. Disney has an amazing amount of behind the scenes security going...

Why are you allowed to keep your bag between the bag check and the metal detector?

I kept getting pulled on my last trip, so I just started "not hearing" the guy and being fixated on something ahead.. not once did they chase me down and make me do it. Course.. only Disney would hand out pins to guests that set off their own metal detectors.

When did Jungle Cruise start combining the stand up routine?

I want to say about the same time they took the guns away initially? I can remember (back before Space Mountain opened, though I'm fuzzy on the actual year), that it was less hokey jokey and more informative "These are indian elephants (elephant facts)". Though it's obvious there was always a...

What the heck are some people wearing?

There's a difference between shorts and booty shorts. There's a difference between a t-shirt and a crop top that is stretched to bursting and showing underbewb. Nobody is saying people should be in V&A dresscode to attend the parks. But smthat doesn't mean dressing like you are on stage next at...

    Non-Disney owned IP contracts?

Good point. The sponsorships were/are the opposite.. the sponsor actually puts the money in, and has a say in the ride design.. thus why we ended up with a ride about figment with no figment. Or why the current iteration of SSE concentrates on communications and data transfer, because that's...

Cranes look out of place to me, but these, in use, will just blend into the background like the helicopters and characters in flight already do.

    Who designed more modern attractions?

Joe Rohde is a name that stands out.

    MNSSHP extremely over crowded

Also, it greatly depends on what is running and what is not at the time. with the riverboat out of commission currently, as well as (from reading what's available), apparently, tiki room, jungle cruise, monsters inc, and carousel of progress closed during the event, you have more people in the...

    MNSSHP extremely over crowded

Wouldn't it be cool if those of us who paid for a full park day didn't have to pay extra to attend part of said full park day? That doesn't just affect APs.

    Line Jumpers/Line Stallers

That was meant to be perceptionally.. as in "it just feels like you are moving faster". I don't get kicking or hitting people. That's obnoxious. "Excuse me, the line has moved" works. Or just point if they don't seem to speak the language. Frankly, we all get to talking in groups or obsessing...

    MNSSHP extremely over crowded

The last one we were at they didn't actively start throwing non-ticketed (wristband) people out until well after the event started (hoping for those last minute shopping and eating customers, maybe?) and even then, it wasn't until they got to the front of the line at an attraction that the CM...

    Line Jumpers/Line Stallers

Perceptionally, you are moving "Faster" if you are walking continuously, rather than stopping now and again. any of the "line wait since fastpass" threads will show a common complaint is that you used to almost never stop walking when loading on an Omni, but now you do, as they feed in people...

    Non-Disney owned IP contracts?

If it's like any other park, it spells out what specific parts of the IP they can use, their merchandising rights over it, and usually has a clause in it about how it's portrayed. Much like the current contract that Universal has with Marvel, for the rights to avengers, fantastic four, spidey...

    Line Jumpers/Line Stallers

Yep. Tho at least on the subway, with a couple of exceptions, you are usually surrounded by people at least familiar with your culture and somewhat immersed in it. But Disney gets people from all over the world. There are videos of how to get on a train in India. It's absolutely terrifying. It...

    Line Jumpers/Line Stallers

I've found that is usually either a cultural thing, or just people with massive backpacks full of bricks who don't realize they are smashing them into you.

    Non-Disney owned IP contracts?

They bought Indy lock stock and barrel separately from the Lucasfilm purchase. And from what I recall, the big SW push didn't happen until after they bought Lucasfilm. Up to those events, they had the IJ attractions, and Star Tours, which were licensed like any other theme park using a...

    Coco coming?

Was that CM dressed as Foghorn Leghorn? I just don't think that is happening, and there might be some good natured leg pulling going on.

What the heck are some people wearing?

My park attire is always Duluth Trading firehose.. whether it's shorts or pants, and they are as cargo as they come outside of BDUs and a molle vest. When I want to dress up it's a utilikilt.. also with cargo pockets. I have no idea what people's issues with cargos is.. they are neither...

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Actually.. those vent by pulling air in through the top, down through the "bowl" and then up the vent stack, to keep the smells away from you.. as such they are far less effective than the "chimney effect" described. I love how everyone knows how horrible these are going to be, sight unseen...

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Right. My point was that any switching of cars, etc, will not be handled by the same people making sure you get on and off the cars, but by someone more akin to monorail central in a control area of some sort, and unless it's an immediate issue, probably won't happen during on-time. If for...
