I get asked how to get to Jaws or King Kong regularly. We also get asked by guests if they can use their tickets to get in to Universal, and if the monorail takes them there. I am not making this up, and this is not a once-a-month kind of thing, either. This is pretty often.

It's not just the bus drivers, we all go to the meetings. My favorite part is when we draw fake concept art. After the meeting, it's handed out and everyone has the job of either scanning it and emailing it to someone, or leaving it conspicuously on a desk somewhere.

I don't understand how it became an argument about whether or not CMs should snap on stage. That was never a part of the original post or any of the early replies.

See this one? Yesterday, a CM was screamed at by a guest for letting in a Make a Wish family without (and I quote) "confirming whether or not they are actually dying." I post this not to complain, but to wonder "aloud" about there actually being people like that out there.

Honestly, it's not hard. At all. There are frustrating guests, of course, but they give us entertaining stories when we go home and they're in and out of our lives in moments. And one guest stopping to tell me I've done a great job or something erases every bad guest I've had up to that...

What I don't understand is why the Everest trains don't bother me. From the first moment I saw them, I thought "that throws off the scale," something that would normally drive me nuts, and yet it does not. I like seeing the movement and that somehow outweighs the scale situation, I guess.

This is a misunderstanding of the situation. First off, there is not always a place back stage. Secondly, managers often have a reason and need to be at the on-stage place they are, and their texting is (usually) a work matter. Every single time they needed to give a report to the Duty Manager...

That is incorrect. CMs may have mobile phones on their persons, but they must not be noticeable in any way -- sight or sound. They may pull them out and use them for emergency situations. For a brief period of time, they were allowed to use them as time pieces, but that is not true anymore...

You have extremely bad luck, go at exactly the wrong times, or don't time how long you were actually in line, then. :animwink: I mean, the other day the Magic Kingdom had record attendance, almost every bit of queue filled up, and a posted wait time of 50 minutes. The actual wait was just under 20.
