News Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

Which I didn’t know. Thus, my personal Matterhorn is languishing in port. Not a biggie. I think my neighbor will have to move their trampoline anyway.

If you could implement 1 major change throughout the parks, what would it be?

Probably, I get to go to the front of every line and I can eat wherever I want for free with no ADRs provided my party size is less than 23. This counts as one change because I put it all in one sentence. Also, thicker ply TP if I’m thinking globally.

    What happened to people?

The price of the vacation accompanied by a complicated queuing system that rewards you for getting up before 7AM that costs money is a big factor. Further, ALL queuing systems, going back to fastpass, have changed the psychology of going to the parks. Everything besides rides is devalued to such...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Well, if the bayou was 5 miles across and the frog had a torso diameter of 7 miles, the frog would overhang the bayou by a full mile on two sides! This seems unlikely. However, if the volume of the of the bayou was 1e12 cubic feet (used Bartholomew Bayou and assumed an average depth of 2 feet)...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

We all have our political things with regards to rides. Country Bear Jamboree always has me mulling over the Taft-Hartley act and Slinky Dog makes me think of the use of mustard gas in WWI. For many, the music on Triceratop Spin will evoke imagery of Margaret Thatcher and on it goes.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

There’s a thread I could pull on, but before I do that - do any of our esteemed magic colleagues know guest satisfaction numbers with regards to genie, genie plus, and ILL?

At opening in 1982, was EPCOT Center a "full day" park for you?

Radok blocks (working a bit after opening day if I recall). The mechanically elegant Imagination ride. Soaring over an Omnimax screen as just part of a ride. The incredibly audacious American Adventure show. Playing in Imagination. I couldn’t believe such a place had been built.

Behold the majesty of the Sistine chapel.

At opening in 1982, was EPCOT Center a "full day" park for you?

The Universe we know is one of dynamic forces -- its heartbeat sending a constant flow of energy coursing through the vastness. This energy is never destroyed, nor is this energy created. But energy is perceived in different forms. Within the atoms of all matter - on a level most infinitesimal...

At opening in 1982, was EPCOT Center a "full day" park for you?

A deluge of such magnitude that the world’s greatest waterfalls flowing together for more than a million years would only begin to just approach its results. For when it finally stopped, the seas had been born.

What is the best ride you have ever been on?

For me, it is Horizons. World of Motion is in my top ten somewhere. Trying my best to not have any expectations for the TT update.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I’m gonna save up my RTQs and AQRs for years and years, and then after a decade or so have the vacation of a lifetime. Might even be able to legally have them re-open a defunct attraction. “On May 18, 2025 you said I could return to queue. At no time was the day specified.” It will be like the...
