Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Florida's Space Mountain is a much better coaster, but California's is a better experience IMO. Florida just needs a new track and some minor updates and it would easily be the better attraction.

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

The lower height would make it look a lot better, but I understand why they built tall- projections. My biggest issue is just the amount of color, there's not a consistent color scheme it's kinda all over the place. I don't know if anyone saw an up-close view of the turrets but they are...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I haven't ridden Tokyo's Indy yet but I have seen videos. Their queue is fantastic, and they did a great job of noticing what effects don't really work or are too expensive to maintain in the Anaheim version and fixed it for their version. The issue is still the number of dark hallways with no...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Exactly! Disneyland has so much to do that I'm worried Runaway Railway, being tucked into a forgotten corner of the park, will just feel forgotten. Disneyland arguably has too much in it already, meanwhile, DCA struggles to get people to stay for an entire day, and relies on a bunch of flat...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I am just dreaming right now about if DCA got Runaway Railway and they rethemed BVS and Hollywoodland to be a progression of Walt Disney's journey through Hollywood. You enter BVS in 1923 like it is right now. Once you reach Carthay Circle, you are located in 1938 the day of the premiere of...

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

DCA really needs Runaway Railway. The park is like a 3/4-day park plus it still doesn't have enough family rides that everyone can do. I call it a 3/4 day park because it's more than a half-day, and if you actually do everything it is a full day park, but most people are done around 5 and either...

    News New Parade: Magic Happens

Just like the style of the parade, it feels very 2020. Just like the music, the costumes.

    News New Parade: Magic Happens

Yeah, I'm a Gen Zer, and I have seen a lot of non-Disney people use the finale music in their TikToks. I personally love the soundtrack (took a bit to get used to), but I think the parade itself will just feel outdated in a couple of years. The Mickey float costumes are very 2020 and I'm not...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

This is the first ride though that you spend this much time in one single scene. I can't think of anything else that comes remotely close to the amount of time you spend in a single room besides maybe the Under the Sea segment of LM or Heffalumps and Woozles in Tokyo. And even then you are...

    News New Parade: Magic Happens

My gut feeling is the first parade we will see is Christmas Fantasy in December 2021. I doubt we will see any parades or nighttime shows before that. This was my issue with Magic Happens though, I like it now in 2020, but the parade itself does not at all have a timeless feel. It was made for...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

This is VERY blue sky and really not possible, but I wonder if Disney could build a mall on that site, and leave a lot of empty room for rides. Then in 10 or 15 years when they're ready to build a new park they could just build the rides and leave the restaurants & shops.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Is it just me, or is this construction project moving VERY fast? I can't remember Disney building any steel structure this fast before- not with TRON or Guardians. Are there more crews on this project? I wonder with meet & greets/entertainment being a huge part of Marvel Land, and that stuff...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

I wonder if Disney can somehow work around this and buy the land and build a Downtown Disney like area, and use the remaining space to build a park on the remainder as a placeholder for the second gate? Is that even possible? I'm also confused at the part "The unused plot cannot be used for...

One Sentence Competition Retrospectives on Past Seasons

Me and you both, I feel like it was just a few months ago that @DisneyForever and I were putting that whole competition together and narrowing out 20+ ideas into 12 prompts. It was a lot of fun!

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Do that many people come to HKDL? I find it interesting that many guests from Japan will fly to HKDL when they have their own resort in their own country.

One "vision" of the future for DLR

Sorry to bring this thread back but anyone know the status of the West half of Downtown Disney? It's crazy over two years after its cancelation how they've just left it sitting there with a couple of food trucks. Walking through on my last trip that area was sad. How hard is it to put a...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Once this expansion is over, HKDL will have 20 rides (Railroad, MS Vehicles, Jungle Cruise, Grizzly Mine Cars, Mystic Manor, 3 Toy Story rides, Dumbo, Carousel, Tea Party, Pooh, Small World, 2 Frozen rides, Iron Man, Ant-Man Space Mountain, Orbitron, and hopefully Avengers). Not to mention 2...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

I'm not sure about the second part of that statement, but in the 2010 decade the park has seen rapid expansion- Toy Story Land, Grizzly Peak, Mystic Point, Paint the Night, Fairytale Forest, Mickey and the Wondrous Book, Iron Man Experience, Ant Man, Moana, Explorer's Lodge and probably some...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Yeah I agree, granted I'm not riding the ride but I began to lose interest in the scene around 10:15, which is a full minute before the scene was meant to be over.

News Disneyland to give Snow White’s Scary Adventures dark ride a major facelift in 2020

I don't think Snow White needs 3 rows though. I don't recall ever seeing the wait above like 15 minutes.
