News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

As a fan of the original Horizons pavilion, I like this idea a lot. And the Space 220 restaurant would still fit nicely within this revised concept.

Is this the first time they've omitted invocation from the agenda?

News 'Disney Dreams That Soar' Drone show coming to Walt Disney World this summer

I love this, and I found the Guardians portion interesting because of the use of "negative space" to show character movement. I saw the 2016 Christmas drone show in person and this is a nice step forward. I hope to see future shows at Disney Springs and for them to develop more drone shows for...

News 'Disney Dreams That Soar' Drone show coming to Walt Disney World this summer

I loved the drone show they did for the holidays at Disney Springs in 2016. It felt magical, and I recall wishing it was longer. I'm surprised it has taken this long to bring back the idea. They had two shows nightly when it was in December.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Since The Odyssey was mentioned, I'd love to see it transition into a buffet-style restaurant that would highlight cuisines other than what are currently represented in World Showcase. Monday could be Greek night, Tuesday Thai, Wednesday Indian, etc. They could even incorporate a character...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

This sounds right to me. I suspect that the recent moves made by the Governor to change a Board member and bring in a more experienced administrator were precursors to the agreed upon settlement.

And they OUGHT to put the Barnstormer in Epcot, hidden inside a Mt. Fuji dark ride in the Japan pavilion. There are so many things they COULD do that would plus the parks experience without costing a fortune.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

    1) Wasn't it reported months ago that Iger had reached out to DeSantis with talk of "settlement," but had been rebuffed? 2) When legislation first established CTFOD, I believe a statement by Josh D'Amaro noted that Disney was used to dealing with a variety of political entities/governments for...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Competition should keep Orlando area theme parks on their toes to provide the best possible guest experiences. Yes, Disney is expensive, but Universal isn't far behind. Both charge $30/day for parking. Universal advertises 1-day ticket prices as "FROM $119" but when I randomly checked Wednesday...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Amen to that. I believe they originally had 19 plots for countries. However, they've used up two of those to expand Norway / Frozen and to expand France with the Ratatouille ride. Six spots remain (including where the once planned Africa pavilion became only a refreshment spot). I'd love to see...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I meant reconstitute the District from RCID to CFTOD. I wasn't in favor of the change made, but never thought that ALL of the Board appointments should be made solely by the Governor.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I said about a thousand pages ago on this thread that if the legislature felt they had to get rid of the Reed Creek Improvement District, it would have been better to allow the Governor to make one appointment to the new Board with other appointments made by the President of the State Senate...

One Sentence Competition: Pitching Elevators - The Game Begins!

I grew up in 1950s America (“Yeah, Joe, I’m an old guy.”) So, MY Main Street would evoke that more innocent era, but with streets lined with vintage cars next to a bakery, diner with tasty burgers, a shoe repair shop, a drug store including a soda fountain with creamy milkshakes, and other...

One Sentence Competition: Pitching Elevators - The Game Begins!

Well Joe, after eight tries and one “Honorable Mention,” I’ve got zero chance of winning this competition, so might as well swing for the fences and propose a half-dozen MAGIC LOOs near the exit of the Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These mud and grass hut (single use, unisex)...

One Sentence Competition: Pitching Elevators - The Game Begins!

Let’s face it Joe, AI is going to transform our world, heck it already has in ways we can’t even appreciate, but it’s time to embrace new technology and encourage guests to unleash their artistic juices and stir their imaginations by combining AI with virtual reality. Visitors to Disney Springs...

One Sentence Competition: Pitching Elevators - The Game Begins!

Joe let’s remember this is ANIMAL Kingdom, and instead of figuring out which of today’s hot IP we can shoehorn into the former Dinoland, how ‘bout we focus on bringing unique wildlife our visitors seldom get to see. That’s why I’m proposing LAND DOWN UNDER where we can highlight Kangaroos and...
