I never got stories about ESPN doing bad because like every time I am at a restaurant they're playing ESPN. Unless its like a super fancy or old school restaurant. Not sure how that doesn't make them money to stay afloat.

And as I've shown before, Minions isn't the only movie that has a lesser budget than Lightyear/Strange World that made big bucks and looks visually fantastic. It just makes the situation more headscratching on where that budget is exactly going.

If strange world has a second life, it will be a cult classic thing like Treasure Planet, Atlantis, or Meet the Robinsons of the past. I am sure many kiddies with nothing else to watch on D+ would probably grow to really like this movie. But it probably wont be anything more than that, sadly.

In the end of the day, I think this movie will forever will be tied with one of my funniest disney memories. The exact way I discovered Iger replacing Chapeak was through a twitter reply that said "Man, is strange world really that bad?"

Oh my gosh, I didn't even know that disney parks had a Strange Worlds display until just now. It's just cheap cardboard! At least "sexy buzz" was a meet and greet. They couldn't even bother getting at least one character actor to play one of the main characters?

Websites come and go. Twitter's story isn't the first time this has happened. Won't be surprised if its gone. Won't be surprised if it stays, just with a smaller audience either. If anything this proves the importance of archiving and not keeping your eggs in one basket further.

Marvel is a good point, because Marvel is story/action first, representation later. Except maybe She-Hulk which tried too hard to make her a "strong woman" and not in the physical sense if you get my gist.

On a side note, its sad these movies are more visually appealing than Lightyear OR Strange World and they all had a smaller budget. Where did the budget to Lightyear and Strange World go? It's certainly not the marketing for the latter.

This budget talk got me curious, so I decided to look up the budgets for dreamworks and illumination films since 2019 (just so its for recent comparison). No sony since they are still new. All from wikipedia, so might not be totally accurate. The actual quality of these movies are...
