    Question about TRON lockers?

If it's similar to the lockers now used at Universal, it's one reader for each section of lockers. If you scan at the wrong one, it tells you which locker section to go to. -Rob

    Park reservation questions

Are you going to Epcot (or perhaps AK) one of your other days? Those rarely sell out except on the extreme busiest days. Book your MK days to lock in those days, and skip booking another park for yourself and kids until you've upgraded your tickets. For the chosen Epcot/AK day only book your...

    Size of ride lockers?

Thankfully they've started installing dump sinks in the newer locker areas. (Of course people have to actually use them...) I've also started reaching in and feeling the floor of the locker before putting my stuff in. -Rob

    Size of ride lockers?

At attractions where you cannot take bags on the ride, the free lockers are 14 x 5.5 x 17 inches. Larger lockers that cost money to rent ($2 per use, I think?) are 12 x 13 x 17 inches. If you must take a bag, I second what the above poster said, take a sling bag that can scrunch down flat. -Rob

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Patent filed for a carousel-like ride system. Ride vehicles/animals moving independently of each other. What the patent write-up doesn't specifically say, but the diagrams imply, is that there could be load and unload platforms separate from the main circular platform, meaning the ride itself...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

All of this reminded me of the end of Mad Men season 3. Stuck with employment contracts in a situation they don't want to be in, the partners convince Lane Pryce to fire them. He uses the fact that their head office is in London to their advantage by sending the telegram after close of business...

Would you recommend I just take an uber/lyft?

I say Uber/Lyft all the way. (Install both apps and check pricing in both before requesting one, as surge pricing on one doesn't always translate to the other) The only thing that would get me back to a shared bus now would be if one of them was able to somehow bring back luggage service ala...

    Halloween Horror Nights 2023

Single-night HHN tickets are now on sale, as well as Express Passes, RIP Tours and Unmasking the Horror tours. Multi-night tickets don't typically go on sale for another few months. Event dates are also much more simplified this year. It's every Wednesday through Sunday, Sept 1 through Oct 29...

Annual Pass Question (Not about Availability)

I was under the impression that children older than 13 could create their own MDE login account, but that may have changed. Give it a try and see if he can. (I suggest using an email he'll always have, like a Gmail, rather than a school email) If he can, then go into your account and under his...

How many Days Disney vs Universal

Four days in the Universal parks should be fine. If you're doing Volcano Bay you could possibly add an additional day at Uni for that. -Rob

    Ticket Question!

Make sure to calculate out all your options before committing to a ticket plan. The price difference between a 3-day ticket and a 7-day ticket might be less than the price of whatever convention ticket he may be able to get for those extra days. His convention may also offer access to...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Donkey Kong is likely a chain lift, though with the unique track design it might be tire driven. I'm not sure if it was clear in the video of the prototype. -Rob

EV Charging coming to Universal Orlando

    The ever-eternal question...

He was already doing voices for the Cat in the Hat ride and probably Ripsaw Falls, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did other work for them at the same time. -Rob

    LYFT/Uber

FYI, the Google Maps app will also give an estimate for Lyft, just input the start and destination addresses and choose the ride share option where you'd change the form of transport to driving/walking/public transit/etc. -Rob

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I'm confused... So they used VQ so they could sell more ILLs.....but they also got rid of VQ so they could sell more ILLs... -Rob

Transportation from MCO and back to MCO

You can also take the automated tram between Terminal C and the east side atrium (the one with the fountain) of the main terminal, but it requires a bit of walking on the Term C end. Train itself is about a 4-minute ride. -Rob

    The Return of E.P. Ripley

I've read reports that it's because of the fire at the NOS station. It damaged something in the signaling system, so they have to coordinate dispatches by radio. So they're limiting operations to two trains that are always on opposite sides of the park from each other. -Rob

News Voyage of the Little Mermaid Refurb

I always thought a "Pigs in Space" attraction was the obvious (and cheapest) Muppets redo for Star Tours. -Rob
