EV Charging coming to Universal Orlando

It seems that Universal is adding a load of EV chargers to their garages. 12 Tesla Superchargers (hopefully open ones with magic docks) and 48 J1772 (L2) connectors run by Chargepoint.

The 12 superchargers will be on the 5th floor of the North Garage, 24 of the J1772 chargers will be in the north garage first floor, and the other 24 J1772 in the south garage first floor.

Just from this installation, Universal will have more chargers on its property than WDW has.

Not sure I trust Universal parking ops to correctly/efficiently direct people to these, and that they won’t be occupied by non-EVs.

Otherwise, it’s definitely a nice addition.

Isn't first floor south team parking and other not really public uses? Maybe for the troops to use with all the new Teslas they drive.

I thought first floor south was Volcano Bay parking with the bus stops at the back end of it.

Could be now, I parked there a couple of times and it was TMs and maintenance looking. Got a few sideways looks but no one said anything. Might have cleaned it up and put in some lights since VB opened

I was at the North Garage today, and saw these markings on the second floor. They looked too well shaped, as if they were going to put some sort of chargers or other infrastructure here. There were two identical rows of them.
