I don't think a carousel would be overrun and mobbed with crowds. It's just not that big of a draw. I imagine it draw in the same type of crowds any of the other Disney carousel. Basically something to do when everything else is too busy. From MK to Disneyland, from Tokyo to Paris...

Agree. Adds just a wee bit of little capacity, alot of charm and does so without drawing bigger crowds into the park.

So the viewing of this is going to be extremely bad. Really only the people right up against the railing will get a good view. Everyone else will be bobbing/weaving between the heads in front of them and the inevitable children on the shoulders.

I am inclined to agree. They look too fresh for them to have been there for years. Based on how exposed they would be to the weather just sitting there like that for years there's just not enough weathering discoloration on them.

Disneyland's curves are far more banked than Magic kingdoms. I can understand why some people call Magic kingdoms a wild mouse. MK's are banked but not by much.
