Bob Iger Bans Top Analyst and His Firm

No problem. Admittedly, when still learning the ropes I fell victim to intimidation techniques used by a superior. Then again, I'm certain I'm not the only one who's been the target of this in a profession. I always had a conscience that dictated my actions.

Bob Iger Bans Top Analyst and His Firm

As a financial analyst, I've experienced this sort of behavior/response from a company's executive. You name it: CFOs, COOs, CEOs.....My job is to provide financial status and forecasting generated by the data I have access to. If I'm not provided with all the information I need to perform my...

How early should I get there for Top of the World Lounge?

We get there usually about 30-45 minutes before the show. It's never been super packed with fellow DVC'ers on our visits. And I must say: The process of waiting for the elevators to exit the Lounge floor has always been very orderly with everyone showing respect for each other. What I mean is...

    Favorite Bars

Wife and I tried Trader Sam's this last trip and enjoyed our visit. I had the Mosquito Mojito and she had the drink served in the large pearl (Can't remember the name.....) Also had the chicken and pork sliders; very tasty. Next time we're going to try sitting in the outdoor terrace.

Best Moderate Hotel for the Holidays

I second this. While the Moderates can't compare to the Deluxes in regards to Christmas decorations, we really like it @ CSR. They have a fantastic tree in the lobby and nightly pics with Santa too.

Do resort hotels do anything special for a 'special occasion?'

When we honeymooned @ Beach Club we were upgraded to a courtyard view overlooking the Crescent Lake. And were given a small celebration package in our room too. It was a nice touch. Not sure about now, but from what I hear/read the 1st Visit button is almost a certainty and a family...

    Wolfgang Puck express..tipping

We still do 15% if the server was attentive and hustling. Can't justify any higher since ordering is done via counter/register.

I've never stayed off site before....

We have stayed a few times @ Windsor Hills resort and have always had a pleasant, hassle free time. We've tried the 3 bedroom condos in the tower building as well as the 3 bedroom townhouses. Of the two, we like the townhouse more because of the private splash pool in the rear of the unit. Last...

New Star Wars Fireworks Show - 'Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular'

Yup. DHS had it on the program for multiple days last week and we were fortunate enough to see it. Being huge Star Wars fans, we had a blast (yes, pun intended).

    Memorial Day Weekend.

We've made it a tradition to visit WDW during Memorial Day weekend and the Thur's & Fri's are usually not too bad (although Fridays = a little busier).

    Garden Grill-Is it worth it?

We've eaten there numerous times (including this past Christmas) and have always found the food to be very good but not great. 90% of the time, the service was good with only a couple of times when the CM seemed slow. While the food served there is fairly common to most (turkey, flank steak...

    Navigating WDW with a wheelchair

We've rented scooters a few times after my DW had surgery as well as the times she was still adjusting to medication relating to a heart issue. Always used an outside vendor and never had a problem with reliability or having them delivered/picked up. It's always better to have one even on days...

    Best CBR locations

Just stayed there for the first time and our room was in the Jamaica section, building 45. The footbridge was right outside our door so it was only a quick stroll to Old Port Royale. The bus stop by building 46 is the first one to pick up and drop off so we always had a seat going out and...

8 days value or 7 days deluxe... What would you do?

We are fortunate to have climbed the ladder over the years in regards to the levels of Resorts stays, from Values > Moderate > Deluxe > DVC membership. We loved staying @ POP which included being there over the holiday season. Our first Christmas stay was there when our wee ones were about...

You Know You Go To Disney Too Much When...

......also, when you see a newbie with a park map looking for an attraction / restroom / restaurant, not only can you expertly tell them which way to go but also approximately how long it should take them to reach their destination.
