How early should I get there for Top of the World Lounge?

We've never been. We've always been told go early. It opens at 5:00. How early should you get there to be able to get a spot to watch Wishes?

It wasn't busy when we visited two summers ago. There were a few tables open and plenty of space at the bar. We got a drink and walked out on the balcony about 10-15 minutes prior to Wishes. No trouble finding a spot by the railing.

It wasn't too crowded when I was there. You can probably walk up 15 minutes prior to start and get a good viewing spot or go a little early and have a drink. If you get there at 5pm you will have the bar to yourself.

We get there usually about 30-45 minutes before the show. It's never been super packed with fellow DVC'ers on our visits. And I must say: The process of waiting for the elevators to exit the Lounge floor has always been very orderly with everyone showing respect for each other. What I mean is that we take notice of who is "next in line" to use the elevators (those who have visited know that the elevator area is jammed with members waiting for the next car). I've seen parents telling their kids to exit the car because they knew folks on the other end of the area were next. Kinda cool.

As we normally are not there when parks are super busy we go up about an hour before get a drink or two then walk out to the railing to watch. Depending on our mood we may order another one post fireworks to let the elevators clear out.

It's also easy to go downstairs one floor, walk down the hall to the 2nd bank of elevators, and catch an immediate elevator down.

We usually arrive 45 minutes before the fireworks start, this allows you time to check in grab the elevator and head on up. We have gone up 10 times since we have had our DVC membership since March 2015 we have never had an issue and it's never been that busy (Spring Break, Summer, fall) we went last July 4th again was not bad at all.
