new twas the night before christmas location?

As I've said before... Disney won't present shows or attractions for the heck of it. There would be no purpose in repositioning this show to DHS. What would that accomplish, except for that a decent sized handful of Twas fans (I'm including myself) get to see the show again? Could it...

    Parking going up to $14

Speaking on DTD...not to jinx anything...but I'm surprised that hasn't gone to a pay-to-park situation yet. Wouldn't that be horrible? For a few months now, there is a charge before 10pm to park at Universal...which includes the Citywalk shopping/dining district.

    Disney to buy Marvel Entertainment

Cheap shot. Below the belt. NO ONE can truthfully say this decision had anything to do with a rival theme park in the area. If it looks like competition is finally within sight, starting shooting, right? Ugh. I fear the they made a horrible mistake. There is some insane happenings going...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Could it be applied to a long term strategy? Yes. Is it? No. And you can copy and paste these words of mine and save them...and we'll see in a few years... I'm almost thinking you have some investment funds tied up in Disney stock? I'm not being rude...but that's the vibe I'm getting...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Please look on the Disney Careers website. Hourly wages for the most hired in positions are $7.35. The FEDERAL minimum wage is $7.25. You must keep in mind that the FEDERAL minimum wage is based off of inflation and the poverty level. It's true that many Disney Cast Members actually got...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Interesting. I was mostly spot on with Jason's Sentinel article. It'll add up. All of it will. A lot of first time guests are having fun, because they've only ever been to Six Flags. They don't know what it used to be. This downward trend disturbs me greatly.

    Disappointed in Disney World

Agree with much on this thread. Disney has a philosophy currently of "short-term gains". It's a typical one set forth by many companies. It will catch up with them. Threads like this are popping up almost EVERY day. So it's great to see the guests actually starting to figure this out...

    Castle Dream lights info article

Negative. DMX comes into one of many dimmable relay control boxes. These are custom manufactured dimmable relay boxes that were made by Disney. Similar boxes can be found in the installation of Spectacle of Dancing Lights at DHS. In the simplest terms possible...inside of each box, the...

    Castle Dream lights info article

Not trying to take credit away from anyone where it may be due... But... Animated Lighting had very LITTLE to do with the Castle Dreamlights project. They really made it seem like they had so much more at stake in the project. The only product they had involved with the Dreamlights...

    Just back from Disney/Universal

Unfortunately you're right. Except for that Royal Pacific is a Loews Luxury hotel. Which means they staffed by REAL hospitality workers. A majority of Disney resort cast members or managers have never worked in a real luxury resort. It's simply just where casting told them to go. Then...

    Unmagical TOT CMs

This has come up a million times, don't open that can of worms. It doesn't work like that unfortunately. You can wish to your heart's desire that it would...but it won't. And that further shows a slight bit of ignorance. Plenty of people willing to work. Work, yes. Forced to act and...

    Unmagical TOT CMs

Not trying to start a fight...but my 2 cents... (1) If I was a WDW executive, I'd realize we have to hire more than just college kids, senior citizens, and entry-level-non-english-speaking immigrants (Please...there is ZERO-discrimination in this statement. Unfortunately, these are the...

American Idol Experience goes Down Today

Absolutely nothing. People just think that the AIE finale show is in lieu of Fantasmic. The two have nothing to do with each other. AI is simply a 7pm show...every night. Happens to be called finale. And the theater only seats 1000. Hasn't nothing on Fant. Same thing as if Indy had a 7pm...

    $79 Base Ticket

Loved this post. And he's right on the money as well. As a few others have said...Disney WILL outprice themselves. The bubble will break. Not now, definitely not now. But later. This is the first of many. And I promise you will not see any more of your ticket price going for new or...

    New Monorail Crash Details

Perhaps I left out a small tidbit of my statistics challenge... Any FULLY automatic train system with technology of today's standards. Both examples provided are systems at or OVER thirty years old. Like the Monorail...it's technology that is way beyond antiquated. Again, one of the...

    New Monorail Crash Details

    (1) Computers freeze. Slightly ignorant. Computers like the one you're sitting at right now do not run ride and transit systems. They are run off of supercomputers with the utmost of redundancy. (2) Miami Airport...Miami-Dade later said faulty brakes were also involved. At that point...
