RotR's situation reminds me of Daikatana and Duke Nukem Forever. Overhyped games that took too long to come out. I don't think it'll be as drastic as those games, but Rise could face some of the same fallout if that revolutionary experience isn't there.

To add to the devil's advocate, Universal's Spider-Man doesn't have you be the character; you interact with Spidey and the Sinister Syndicate throughout your adventure. The ride is still spectacular with great tech and thrills.

There's only a blacked-out wall where the load ceiling is, as it's the roof of the load area. If I recall correctly, enclosed it to reduce light spill on the ride. I actually remember going on the Peoplemover and looking down to see people boarding the ride.

The Mississippi River has historically been a dividing marker between the East and West of the US. As for why they agreed to that, I think Universal was more about getting the Marvel license away from WDW. Obviously, nobody expected the '09 purchase, so the deal seemed foolproof.
