Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

The only issue with that is then they have to provide child care, a lot more than they do now, and at every resort or area.

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

That sounds really cool. I would definitely go!

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

Obviously they're not going anywhere. I never said the island was going to go anywhere. I am simply asking for people's opinion or rumors about what Disney plans to use the island for in the future. It seems a large waste to let such a cool area that was discovered by Walt himself to go to waste...

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

I agree, they would never move endangered species. However I am not aware of any endangered species that still remain on this island and use it as the primary habitat. It is highly unlikely that they would remain on this one random island in the entire state of Florida with thousands of lakes...

A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas

These interactive things are pretty cool. It's just another way to get people away from the long lines and doing activities with their family. It also gives the parents a great opportunity to let their imaginations run free because instead of having to stand in line and listen to wailing...

Whatever will become of River Country?

I like this idea a lot. I think it would be great if they made this Pirates Water Adventure and then had boats to and from Discovery/Treasure Island which could feature a Pirates themed adventure or treasure hunt. That would be amazing!

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

Actually sounds like an interesting idea...one that would cost a lot of money, but still an interesting idea. I was never able to go to either the island or RC so I would love that!

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

That makes sense. And yeah, I love the idea of a Tom Sawyer Island-like attraction with the paths and stuff. That would be so cool

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

That actually could be a possibility. I would not be surprised at all if that happened.

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

Obviously it is big enough considering that they had the Discovery Island area on it, which included restrooms, snack bars, and exhibits with lots of extra room. The island is 11.5 acres for goodness sake! Plenty of room for a pirate themed attraction or maybe even the Peter Pan's Neverland idea...

    Upcoming/Rumored Projects

Cool to go back and read through this and see how many of the things that seemed far-fetched and strange have actually come true now!

    Disney MGM Rumors

They wanted to cover it up for legal reasons...they got in a large battle with the company who owns the theater and needed a reason to cover it up, so they built the hat. I love the hat, though.

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

I don't know about that haha. But I can see maybe Epic Mickey Land (although that won't happen considering the sales of EM2) or maybe an Oz themed land! Now that would definitely be cool.

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

Yeah, they wanted to partner with the creators of the game Myst "to create a cutting-edge interactive experience to be called 'Myst Island'." Development never got past the original design stages, though. I think that would have been cool, but maybe it would be cooler to have an actual Disney...

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

I agree. People claim that the Chinese Theater is the icon, but it's too unoriginal. The real one still exists in Hollywood! If I want to see it, I'll go to Hollywood. The Carthay Circle in DCA is different because the original no longer exists. I came to Disney to see some Mickey Mouse and...

Will Discovery/Treasure Island Ever Be Seen Again?

As the story goes, Walt was flying in the company jet above Florida to find the perfect place for development, and he spotted what we now refer to as Discovery/Treasure Island and decided that that was the area where the resort would be constructed. In 1999, when it officially closed down and...

How busy is too busy? How long are you willing to wait?

My max is usually 30 minutes unless it's a ride I really really want to ride it. Whenever I go my family doesn't care if we stay together so we usually use the single rider line at the rides that offer it (like RR or EE) so that we just get stuck on. It usually only has a wait of around 5 minutes.

    Perry, Phineas and Ferb!

I agree, DXD is pretty much a channel of old DC shows and new, childish shows

    Perry, Phineas and Ferb!

I agree that it seems more like something off of Cartoon Network, and I definitely agree that they're both better then Fish Hooks. I don't even understand why people like that one, it makes me want to claw out my eyes.
