News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

I agree. I held out hope they’d bring it back since most of the props in the queue were just hidden and still seemed to be there, but then they came out with Philharmagic. Philharmagic is fine, and I’m glad there’s something there, but I really wish they’d bring the Muppets back.

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

I remember following the updates on MiceChat and being excited when each phase was done. I had so much optimism for the park back then, it’s sad to think some of the great work they did has been undone by creative bankruptcy and greed.

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

I miss Muppet Vision 3D a lot. I hope Florida keeps their’s, but if they end up losing it, at least it’ll be for a pretty cool looking Monstropolis and not a freaking Frozen sing-along.

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

Looking at this with a glass half full, the pier’s already been redone twice, it could always get redone again in the future, but I don’t see it happening with the current IP-obsessed leadership.

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

I agree. It was absolutely still a “California” themed park, but it also had a good mix of recognizable Disney/Pixar IP that fit the park well for the most part. It’s frustrating to see how far off the deep end they went with IP in the park after they did such an amazing job with DCA 2.0. I...

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

After thinking about this for a bit, I can accept that this was for a good reason at least, but I really do hope it comes back in the future. The red car trolley is really symbolic of DCA 2.0, and the park’s already lost a bunch of its “California” theming. I wish I could freeze in time DCA 2.0...

News Red Car Trolley to close in early 2025

Apparently, in the follow-up tweet, Scott asked if it will return at a later date, and Disneyland officials said, “We look forward to sharing more information in the future.” Seems like corporate speak for “no,” but at least it leaves the door open maybe.

Disney really hates kinetic energy and atmosphere now apparently.

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I didn’t realize Disney used OLEDs at their parks at all. It’s an awesome technology, but it doesn’t seem practical for a theme park, unless they’re using a more durable type of OLED screen or they switch them out often?

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I agree. While Disney has been known for making cutting-edge animatronics and experiences, they’re most known for creating timeless attractions and experiences that resonate with people on a deep level and makes them want to keep coming back to create new memories. Nostalgia is a big part of...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

They shortened the RoA in Disneyland while also plussing up the area with new scenes and making the railroad trip from New Orleans Squade to Toontown one of the prettiest in the park, ALL while adding Galaxy’s Edge behind it, keeping all the river attractions, and creating a nice walkway from...

Way back machine - DCA's Eureka! parade & initial offerings

This thread is a nostalgia trip. I grew up with DCA, and even though I’m glad the 2.0 overhaul happened, I have a lot of fond memories with my family at OG DCA. I have vague memories of Superstar Limo when I was 4 years old, I’m pretty sure we rode it multiple times because I wasn’t tall enough...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

It’d be cool to see it added to WDW too. Those pictures they’ve posted of the food look really good.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Theming within the rides is important for sure, but the theming outside of the rides is just as important, that’s what has set Disney apart for so many years. Being immersed into another world as soon as soon you walk through the gates, walking down the small American town vibes of Main Street...

    D23 2024 Disneyland Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Yeah, I’m still not sold on Avatar even if it turns out to be a good land, it just doesn’t fit and I’m not invested in the franchise. The Coco ride, however, I’m definitely excited for.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

This is a good point. Disneyland cast members had to recently organize and threaten to strike in order to get pay increases (which they luckily succeeded) because of how crazy the cost of living in California is.

Magic Kingdom to lose ROA, Riverboat, and TSI for Cars Land

I remember feeling slightly disappointed after D23 that WDW got a lot more announcements than Disneyland, then the RoA bombshell news dropped and I instantly felt grateful for what we got, lol.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I apologize if my post came off as rude. I understand talking about the logistics of this stuff, but I guess I’m just less focused on that stuff and moreso on the guest experience. I also think having things like the Rivers and Liberty Belle do so much for ambience more than anything, and that...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

LOL, exactly my thoughts, I felt like I was losing my mind seeing some of those comments. It’s one thing if you’re genuinely excited for the change as a guest, that’s great, but if all you’re talking about is how the space is underutilized and using all this corporate speak, that’s when I shake...
