Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

In my meager defense, I've been up since 4:30 and didn't get a lot of sleep. I'm also about three cups behind in my normal coffee consumption.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

What a weird way to announce it. I mean, I get needing to communicate with onsite guests that might not be using the app, but I'm surprised there wasn't anything for off-site guests or passholders that might be coming at normal park open. Is the entire park open, or just Galaxy's Edge?

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Did they confirm ahead of time that they were doing the Boarding Groups virtual queue? It's active on MyDisneyExperience right now, and are already saying "late morning" as the estimated time anyone who "lines" up will be able to enter. 270 minute wait for the Falcon. I can only imagine what...

I feel like they need another thrill ride. Category 5 Skyliner Encounter seems like a good use of a FastPass.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

But does that factor in the ancillary things people spend money on? Beyond increasing admissions, I mean. They may spend less per guest, but doesn't drawing in an additional 3,000,000 guests paying for parking, lunch at Yak and Yeti, and cupcakes nudge the numbers toward Pandora?

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Over what period of time, though? Everest has been open, what, 12, 13 years? I would love to compare data for 2005 vs 2006, but it looks like the year it open, Animal Kingdom got 8.9 million visitors, and were getting 9.5 starting in 2008. I know the recession factors in there was well, but...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Despite what we hear about in this subset of Disney guys, it seems that most people DO want more of it.

Ever had a awkward encounter at Disney?

It sounds like the guys who you encountered were awful. My only reasons for saying anything were A) wondering why their being gay was relevant (as you failed to mention the PDA in the first post), and B) the implication that the two of them being "flamboyant" somehow made the experience even...

Ever had a awkward encounter at Disney?

Yes. That's my point. Look, I know things go amuck and it sometimes seems like any word that's used is going to offend someone. But I'm not the most traditionally masculine gay guy, and "flamboyant" is something that's been used to belittle and dismiss me all my life. It reads like "Not...

Ever had a awkward encounter at Disney?

I'm saying, two straight guys can be equally obnoxious as two gay guys and basically do all those things. Would you feel it necessary to point out if they were straight? And would they need an extra descriptor like "flamboyant?"

The colors I can agree with, but I think making it about the logos doesn't really gel with the art style.

new Universal resorts named and up dates

I guess I'm the only one who likes them. I mean, the theme-ing is not lavish, but you're not paying lavish prices. I guess the building are utilitarian, but they're spruced up a bit. I like them better than the motel blocks at the All-Stars, and I don't have to look at giant props either. My...
