Ok the crowds can be huge most of the time, but if you manage to lose a kid in the crowd then no one to blame but yourself. if it's busy, you keep a hold of kids right next to you. If your nephew fell and had to get up himself, I blame however was supposed to be looking after him

If I'm going to Disney with my two young kids, I won't even consider going on a ride and making my kids wait for almost an hour while I do it. I want to spend my holiday with my family, not going on stuff on my own.

Not speaking for the masses but I think the price hike at VB is accepted as it is still pretty new and considering the size of it, it was probably slightly underpriced. I think the price hikes will thin the crowd a bit, and think they may even increase prices again to reduce daily attendance.

I would guess VB brings in more money so will surely be a 'Win' in those aspects. I'm visiting Disney/Universal in October (Staying in Cabana Bay) and from the research I've done (Timtracker especially) it seems Typhoon Lagoon won't take up a full day where as VB possible can given the amount...

If you're attempting to gain any kind of benefit by saying it's your birthday when it isn't, it comes down to your own personal standards. If you're just going to Disney as a birthday trip, no problem with it being a week out.
