    January or summer ...

With one son in college and the other in high school, it is becoming more and more challenging finding a "good" time to visit. While we always LOVE our Disney vacations, I'm not really a fan of Florida summers; consequently, looking at a travel time of 1/2/18 - 1/7/18. Do the leftover holiday...

    Room Upgrades

We have stayed at GF five times now and were lucky enough to be "Family of the Week" one year and were assigned a room with a view of the Magic Kingdom. SO nice watching fireworks and enjoying the Electrical Water Pageant from the balcony. Also, on another trip, we were upgraded at GF to...

    Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party

We did the dessert party in June for my son's 13th birthday. Just wasn't that impressed. The desserts were good but we hadn't even finished eating when people had already taken their spots along the terrace wall for the fireworks. We've had more fun just watching the fireworks from within the...

    Sparkling Dessert Party

I was very much on the fence when I booked this event but, given the benefit of the reserved viewing for Illuminations, thought we'd give it a try. My best advice for anyone considering it ... SAVE YOUR MONEY! Personally, I was very disappointed in this event. While some of the selections...

    M.V.M.C.P. Yey or Ney?

The extra dollars do make it a hard decision sometimes but we've done it twice now and would definitely do it again. SO much fun and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. We have also done the Halloween party and found the crowds and wait times much higher at that event. Throw...

Would you recommend Downtown Disney during the construction?

Saw a post today about the Magic Kingdom hub during construction well, we're headed down in June and were going to visit Downtown Disney for the first time. Are we better off waiting until our next visit or is it still worthwhile? Kids wanted to do T-Rex and DisneyQuest, roller coaster...

    Is it just me!?!

We should have been there the first week of June but all the kids' snow/cold days forced us back to 6/14-21.

    Is it just me!?!

We are headed down in June and, while I have always been the -retentive planner, FastPass+ is totally stressing me out! Every time I see new FastPass+ information/articles I'm back looking at our itinerary seeing if I should change any rides/times, have I scheduled the right rides at the...

    IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party

Just curious if anyone else has done this event and what their thoughts are? Have this booked for our June trip but am really on the fence given the lackluster reviews.

    Need Advice From Summer Veterans!

Historically, we have always been lucky enough to take the kids out of school and enjoy WDW between Thanksgiving and Christmas; however, with our oldest now in high school, this is no longer an option. Our next trip is planned for June 14-21. So, not only have we never gone in the summer, but...

The Age Debate (will they remember it?)!

I don't know that I'd ever be one of the brave parents who takes an infant, but our first trip as a family with children was when our youngest was three and our oldest was seven. In many ways, it will always be one of my most favorite trips since EVERYTHING was so exciting and magical to them...

    Contemporary Garden Wing "Unavailable"?

Interesting ... I booked our June 2014 at GF and wanted to book outer building, club level and it was showing as no rooms available. When I spoke to someone at the Grand, he mentioned they were doing a "soft goods" upgrade and possibly that was the reason.

Any week in June better (crowd-wise) than any other?

That's what I thought so thank you for confirming. One more question from a summer novice ... will a stay during this timeframe spare us from the dreaded tour groups I have read about?

Any week in June better (crowd-wise) than any other?

Historically, we have always been lucky enough to take the kids out of school during lower-crowd times for our WDW vacations; however, with our oldest now in high school, that is no longer an option. So, I am planning our first summer trip and don't know if it will make much of a difference if...

    Fragrances in lobbies...

I too can be bothered with migraines triggered by heavy perfumes, but the resort scents have never been a problem. I LOVE the smell of the Grand when you return after a long day!
