Hi there. I've tried a larger reservation with no luck. Did get a 6:30 reservation and will continue to try online up until the trip. If that doesn't work I will try showing up earlier and see if they can accomodate us. Have heard that some people have been seated as much as an hour earlier than their reservation.

Have you tried looking for a 5 pm reservation for Chef Mickey's with a different party number? On another thread, someone posted that even changing the party times will affect what ADRs are available. For example, I just booked Donald's Safari Breakfast for 2 and the earliest time was 9:05 am. I switched it to 3 people and came up with 8:20 am. It's better to increase the party-size in your search, and maybe just mention that the other people in your party couldn't make it. They can't deny you a seat just because someone in your party can't make it. Give it a try and see if you can perhaps get that 5 pm spot just by changing the party size.
