DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Dinosaur was a horrifically bad ride (loud, CORNEY, stupid plot) in a horrifically bad and cheap land. This was a public service announcement. We will now return to our regularly scheduled programming

I thought Dinosaur itself had a lot of quality. It was the right amount of 90s-2000s corniness and quality theming. I don't think anyone will disagree with the quality of the overall land, but Dinosaur was one of the bright spots

Dinosaur was one of the best rides WDW had.
The land itself was also one of the best lands Disney had.

No new animal exhibits are coming with Tropical Americas, partly due to proximity of the land to the Parking Lot, and partly due to budget

Hard to tell from so high up, but I'd estimate the new building has a seven-foot frame, rats upon his back.

question, what's the preexisting grey building behind the Nemo theater for? just curious, as ive been wondering is TA is a success if they would in the far future possibly tear down Nemo to expand the land (fingers crossed for Up or emperors new groove)

So ... didn't see this one posted, but I found it quite interesting.
If you zoom in on the left side, you can see material samples, which have shown up in flights past. They include what look like mockups of the finishes for the entrance arch, the temple exterior, the artificial trees that will flank the temple, the mountains that will conceal the Encanto show building, and more. Pavement samples are also arrayed above.
What's new is on the right side of the image, where it looks like they're actually assembling some full-scale facade elements to drop into place later (though someone can correct me on that if I'm way off base). Hard to tell exactly what they are since we're looking at the reverse side of most of it. Perhaps they're levels of the tiered temple facade?

I'm absolutely serious.
I didn't care much for the carnival area - though I grasped the concept - but the rest of the land was so clever.
So many details, so much thought.
No. They're footers for a monorail expansion.

The samples on the left are definitely out there for that, yes. They've been on site since before the land even closed. The items on the right are what's new and appear to be show-scale elements being prepped for future installation.

DINOSAUR wasn’t bad at all, but chester and hester made up half the area. Restaurantosaurus was a glorified fast food place and the boneyard looked nice but was mostly meant for young kids so i never bothered to go. The land as a whole is no loss.

Losing Chester and Hester means WDW lost its worst area.

I agree though I wouldn't have gotten rid of the rest of Dinoland with it.
