Perfect! I get in on the 12th. Here's hoping they don't close the line too early, lol....11th is Run Disney, I assume 12th is the final day of Operation and it'll be closed on the 13th.

Definitely. I think they announce the date next month.Any chance of a formal announcement following Boneyard closing?
This is very sad I kind of hoped it might just cling on for when I go in Feb albeit it I didn't expect it to.Hearing rumors of a meteor strike January 12th...
Off a POV from yesterday here's everything wrong with DINOSAUR right now:
I think it's safe to say it's definitely entering the "let it rot" phase before closure.
- Less fog than usual in the time travel room
- Styracosaurus is static.
- Ailoramus has limited movement and the skin around his neck looks like its falling off.
- Raptors are in the dark
- First Carnosaurus is frozen except for his mouth.
- Nearly all the lights in the scene before the second carno are out.
- Infamous incoming pterodactyl broken
- Second Carnosaurus’s movement is very jerky and there’s a strobe light on him similar to the Yeti.
- Final Carnosaurus is leaning out but there seems to be little to no movement in the figure anymore.
To be fair, they've only barely maintained the ride to 'adequate' standards for the last 10-15 years. It hasn't been up to 'Disney' standards for a long while. Nor has JII seen ANY love other than an overpriced popcorn bucket. And let's face it, while both were once great fun, 90% of the time both of them have nearly a walk-on status and have aged horribly in quality.Off a POV from yesterday here's everything wrong with DINOSAUR right now:

yeah Disney World tends to do that. I got lucky and ended up at Disney World about a week or two before Splash Mountain closed and the same at Disneyland. It was crazy how big of a difference maintenance was between World and Land on rides that were closing. At World all the animatronics on Splash were in rough shape and at Land they were running amazingly.

And I know that someone on here will say something to the effect of 'wait times don't matter, they eat people and make other lines of more popular rides more manageable'. That's BS. Build attractions that people want to flock to and you'll still be able to manage those other popular legacy attractions wait times just as well.
It's nice to know not even other chunks of the Disney company buy into the claim that it's actually the normal, logical thing to just let your ride break down and visibly deteriorate in front of the hundreds of thousands of people who are still going to ride it.
What's the impetus to change anything in the swamps? Too many people still show up, throw copious amounts of money at LL and the SSDD parks there, and crow about how great things are because "it has value to MEEEEEEE!!!1!!!". Oh, I forgot - ThEy ArE bUiLdInG ThInGs!!!I think that’s the Anaheim difference bubbling up again. They bask, but WDW breaks.
Indy at DL, woof... That ride has nearly the same down time as it does operating time. Coming out of COVID, it was only operating about 2 hours a day.I think that’s the Anaheim difference bubbling up again. They bask, but WDW breaks.

But yes, DL gets a lot more love and updates in comparison to WDW.
Glad I shot it when it was in better shape.

They're adding some carnotaurus animatronics. Not that it's important on this side but, seems that the JP river adventure is also closing for a 10 month refurb starting in January and well before Dinosaur's closure in February...
I hear they're hiring a new guy around that time and he'll need some time to figure out the job:Not that it's important on this side but, seems that the JP river adventure is also closing for a 10 month refurb starting in January and well before Dinosaur's closure in February...
