No. Let’s not close the best shooter ride in the world. This can replace Jimmy Fallon.
While I'm not in favor of closing MIB, as I've already established, those two attractions aren't exactly working with the same amount of real estate. I have a feeling we'd be seeing more people complaining about another underwhelming attraction if they tried to put any sort of dark ride in Fallon's space. Mind you, I'm not convinced that a legacy IP like Ghostbusters is even deserving of a large-scale attraction at this point. They have this problem where the newer sequels aren't nearly as beloved as the originals, but the originals are also too old to capture the younger generations, so which one do you even base an attraction on?

I predict that the park will go full circle over the next decade, going back to its roots.
We saw the Horror Make Up Show and it gave that old feel buzz. It was packed too. You get same with ET.
I don't think they will get rid of the older attractions as guests like them. MIB, ET etc.
Give it a decade and you'll have a jaws attraction ghost busters etc
Did the kid admit to throwing the rock?

While they are limited in space, Universal is creative…I say go UP with rides…as in, build a multilevel dark ride…that would save on space. I think a fun shooting style ride where you’re battling ghosts on various floors of a skyscraper or throughout New York City would be cool.

As for which Ghostbusters property to pull from….none. Just use the Ghostbusters name and IP in general. Doesn’t need to have specific characters in it…aside from Slimer! Get the Ecto 1 in there and a Staypuft Marshmallow man and fans will be happy.

GB thrives off having a practical show element... which a high-speed thrill coaster doesn't suit well.

A dark ride is obvious, but a stage show using special effects (ala the Spooktacular) works.

I think new rollercoaster will be F&F. Can then use the current F&F bus system for a tour ride following the Ghostbusters. As noted though would be be better with some live effects though. Maybe reverse it so you do the bus part and then the current pre-shows are post-shows with physical effects?

I think Ghostbusters does lend itself to a stage show quote nicely. That would be cool!

I agree, no need to really base it around any of the legacy or new characters. You're the new recruits. Maybe line the walls with those 'Busters' that came before on pictures. Use clips from all of the movies. The queue could have slime, toasters "dancing" to music, a giant twinkie, stacked books, Vigo's picture just tossed in the corner, holding cells with ghosts like in Frozen Empire, etc. The trick would be transporting guests from the Firehouse to the skyscraper where the attraction would take place.

I like where you're going with this. Maybe a shooter ride paired with a drop in a skyscraper like Tower of Terror? The lone drop would be when you get to the roof and see Stay-Puft.
The cars could move up the floors (albeit remaining on ground level and simulated with the ride vehicle) and you'd try to trap ghosts as the doors on each "floor" open. Once on the "roof", the vehicles move out as if being lifted by a ghost and you hear Gozer's voice as the vehicle enters a lift/drop shaft. Stay-Puft is standing in front of you...you shoot up to his face, blast him with the neutrino wands and as he explodes, you drop. As you leave you're surrounded by mini-staypufts that grow out of the remains of the large one.
