Here we go... Just booked my first DLP visit, and sixth and final Disney resort worldwide for me.

Was originally planning to visit in 2026 after WDS has completed most of its transformation, but turned out that I'll be traveling to Paris this September for something unrelated, so might as well add on DLP. First time in France.

Staying at Sequoia Lodge for 3 nights. Planning at least 2 days in the parks and will make a judgement call on the last day whether to use the final day's ticket for one more park day or leave and have more time in central Paris. I only have about an extra day and half afterwards for Paris itself so don't want to spend too much of it at DLP.

When was the last time the gas lamps were working?

Are the ones on Main Street itself on?
All the outdoor fire effects were turned off due to the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, I think the only one left is ironically Cars Road Trip as it is a show scene.

I’m not sure if this was a DLP choice or a French law as many energy saving regulations came into effect such as air conditioned buildings must have the doors closed and no outdoor space heating (except for employees).

The arcades had been very dark without the gas lamps so I do wonder if this has been introduced as a long term alternative to the gas lamps.

Beat me to it. Although there was a period the arcades were lit at night.

There was also a lone lamp burning outside Liberty Arcade but I’ve not checked for a while.

Whilst not brilliant I’d hope if it’s long term that a suitable false LED effect is swapped in.

I believe it was a DLP choice. Framed as an environmental choice. The cynic in me says a money saving choice. Probably a combination of the two in reality.

They did turn the Main Street Arcade gas lamps on at night, has that stopped now?

I miss the Adventureland entrance torches too. Frontierland ones too but they rarely worked.

Off the top of my head, these are the gas flame effects at Disneyland Parc

- Main Street lampposts
- Discover & Liberty Arcades
- Frontierland stockade
- Adventureland Entrance
- Indiana Jones
- Pirate's tower

Anything else?

There are more burning torches around the keel boat area that are visible from the Molly Brown. Shockingly they did work for a period of time after the major BTM refurbishment in 2016.

Does anyone know what the plans are for this area? I’m assuming it will still have a Sports Bar with outdoor seating. But are they adding anything else?
Another Sports bar. Some would say it didn’t need money spending on it.

The inside part will also encompass what was the sandwich bar.
