Well, speedway is definitely not thrilling. I'll give you that. It's still flat, though. It's not Autopia either. Disney has already decided on the route of replacing items in MK that DL will maintain. ROA is gone. There is no more point in keeping a very short track for speedway either when they will have a thrilling cars ride on the other side of the park.
The speedway can be very thrilling depending on who is driving the car behind you!

What I hate about Speedway, besides the noise, is the lack of anything interesting to look at on the drive. Even adding some Disney topiaries or futuristic/sci-fi elements would go a long way. They could add some Stitch elements since he is always driving that pink car in all of his movie promos. It could very well be an easy way to add in current IP and add some synergy. Can they use Fantastic Four in FL? If so, that would be cool too. Literally anything would be better than what we have now.

Getting in for the first time and realizing it's actually not on rails like you thought, with you just controlling the speed and a little useless steering wheel to make the kids happy, the rail is there to make sure you don't go off course because you're actually driving the thing was pretty thrilling for me.

I think the best time I’ve had on the speedway was with my dad as a kid. We got in and of course the steering wheel didn’t work so we crashed back and forth the whole trip around. Now that was fun!

I guess it's too late to joke about them just doing this instead.

Fits just as well as Cars.

I don't mind the Speedway.

It's one of the few attractions where little kids actually feel that they have some control over the ride (being that the steering wheel and pedal actually do have some purpose within the ride).

I'd hate for the Speedway to go.

If they need Tomorrowland expansion areas I'd rather they replace COP and the Stitch area than mess with the Speedway.

Since they supposedly aren't removing the Frontierland boardwalk or the dock to the Liberty Belle is there any chance they could re-dock it in its old location as a permanent fixture as part of Liberty Square?

The entire river will be filled in and leveled according to the plans.

Now technically…. I suppose they could surprise us and build a pond big enough to plop her down into - but more likely she will be parked somewhere on the shores of the lagoon or bay lake. If she remains at all. Which hopefully she does.

I thought the latest "illustration" for Piston Peak showed a significant amount of water alongside the Frontierland boardwalk to about the spot where the Liberty Belle dock is located.

I'd argue that a riverboat (even if a permanently docked one) adds to the ambiance of Liberty Square more than the lack of a riverboat.

Of course that's just me, so I hope (although probably in vein) that the riverboat makes its way back to Liberty Square in some fashion.

Oh trust me… the riverboat leaving is a terrible decision. 100%.

I was just saying that based on the construction that will be happening - there will be nowhere for her to go. The entire river will be filled in and leveled - including the area around big thunder.
