I don’t think that is accurate
Considering how they De-Muppetized the outside of the muppet theater I would have expected less to save costs..What is to happen to the plaza..I'm curious to know?

EDIT: Singer Andrew Barth Feldman did a Tribute video to the Attraction and during the song he passes by RnRC plaza altered in his video and it's exactly what I was thinking "It Could Look Like" however Repainting the Guitar to Kermit Green which makes more sense but, put Kermits head in the guitar pic.

My biggest worry about this project is that the new entrance will be too bright and colorful, like the tie-dye on the teaser image they shared. This will detract from the immaculate, vaunted approach to Tower of Terror. They used to care about these things, e.g., Splash Mountain blending with Big Thunder's rock work colors, the original RnRC entrance being set back and muted to avoid competing with ToT's approach... but now... ?
Sure… except for when they were turning icons into giant pink cakes or slapping wands and sorcerers hats on them.

Those were all intended as temporary overlay decor, not part of the parks' designs. Obviously, the hat and the hand ended up sticking around for way too long, which was a Pressler-era management issue along with things like DCA 1.0, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Dino-Rama...

That said, it's not that they never made errors or poor decisions that broke the visual cohesion in the "better days" (e.g., Eisner insisting on building the Swan and Dolphin), but now that they're more often lax about those things, I'm extra concerned when the make changes to carefully-designed environments...

I agree, I have always wanted the Rockn Roller facade to more fit the area. Dr Teeth has been around, they can keep the twisting guitar, but the queue structure should look like an old Hollywood recording studio

It would be nice to see them add some additional things to this area to make it a small thematic area...not just a Muppet Coaster standalone... it currently doesn't (and never really has) fit with the Sunset Boulevard area theming...Maybe they could take advantage of that and expand a little mini Muppets Studios area behind Sunset Market...add a spinner themed to Muppets, The Muppet fountain, and maybe another Smaller Muppets themed ride...Not a gigantic footprint, but something to make it feel like it belongs and makes sense....

Sadly such a thing can't be done, not even for 75 million, apparently.

It would make too much sense for them to take the props and decor from the current area and put it there. Like, they could salvage so much from the MuppetVision queue and reuse it for at least Rock N Rollercoaster, but they likely won't- they'll just swap out the video in the queue and the music on the ride and call it a day. Maybe we'll get some new flat cut outs on the ride. But expecting them to redo the ride significantly to fit the new theme is unrealistic. I'm sure it'll still be the outdoor switchbacks before you get into the little indoor portion before the pre-show.

In a perfect world, Sunset Showcase would get MuppetVision (the original and a new show alternating, like the Lincoln show and Walt show, or seasonally like CBJ used to do) once the Villains show ends, they'd add a small quick service stand/restaurant (PizzeRizzo To Go, this time by the slice and actually good?), and move the Miss Piggy fountain and other props to decorate the area. Seems simple since it's mostly reusing stuff they've already built, right? But I guess that's too much.

This inspired me to do my own 'Armchair design' for the exterior of MRnRC.

I like this idea as a least-expensive option but I'd still prefer the guitar to take on a new identity, one that doesn't look like an overlay to what was there previously. Maybe if it were green? This is tasteful however.
