Archived google site #1 - Beneath Our Feet
What a fun "what if" project this was! I contributed to the 90's section, particularly the Storm Rescue roller-coaster. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves working on this one, which added to the fun factor. Rocky will forever be the unofficial mascot of Team Reality, I make the rules.

The Fast and The Furious: Streets of Tokyo
My absolute favorite google site I've worked on. I had one goal: make it look like what the site looked like in the past. Think I did pretty good even with the limitations of Google sites. The land itself is great as well, we all did a good job making it immersive.

Well be revisiting Dubai in Season 16 of the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Welcome to the Great Movie Ride Universe!

Reaching a new universe, the newly formed teams of Space, Time, and Reality found themselves no longer in the digital world, but a suddenly warm, sandy and sun-drenched locale after exiting the portals. "Where are we?" @Pufflefan asked. "I have no idea, but man check out all of the architecture" piped in @Mickeynerd17 . "If nothing else everything here appears normal."

Little did our traveling Imagineers know that things were not normal.

The Soul Stone was safely returned to 2017 after "the snap", but unfortunately, messing with the stone and timeline did not save The Great Movie Ride and it would close in August of that year, removing the soul of Hollywood Studios. The return though at the end of The Great Movie Ride competition resulted in a new reality with the SAU and GMR spiraling into an alt movie studio theme park arms race.

Disney's Pioneer Adventure was lost to what would one day be Novus Harbor on the same site, but the attractions from that ride (Dream Mountain, Henson's Revue and others morphed into the other four Orlando parks. The friendly in-house rivalry between Disney Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm and Marvel spawned a new age for the world as movie studios of all shapes and sizes quickly built theme parks all across the globe.

HBO's new theme park headlined by Game of Thrones and the Sopranos had broken ground in multiple locations; in Orlando, Universal's Pioneer Universe sprang up from the creative minds of Disney Imagineers who were let go with such attractions as Nightmare Mountain with Pigment; multiple competing parks were in development. from Universal, Paramount and others to complete with Disney resorts in Brazil and Mumbai. A meeting for coffee in August of that year between Robert Iger and Rupert Murdoch took on a more urgent tone.

As quickly as they'd arrived, a fleet of sports cars pulled up and a sharply dressed man hopped out. "Hello everyone, welcome to Dubai. I'm Mr. Lynch" said this stranger. "My employer would like to welcome you and your teams and kindly offers transportation and accommodations during your stay."

"Who is this guy, and do we really want to go with him?" asked @The Squirrel. "Well, we have no money or idea what's going on, and @Disney Dad 3000 isn't here for some reason to pay for it." said @tcool123. After very little deliberation the teams hopped in and started to take stock of their surroundings.

It was mere moments before they passed what was the first of many theme parks as the entrance to Dubai Parks & Resorts' Motiongate came into view. "Check out that place" said @MickeyWaffleCo. "Wait, is that two other parks next to it?" chimed in @Lora Baines Bradley. This would be a familiar refrain as this impromptu McLaren guided tour of Dubai and eventually Abu Dhabi passed by what seemed like an endless stream of theme park entertainment, ranging from Ferrari World...

Welcome to Dubai/Abu Dhabi, a location untouched in the Sorcerer's Apprentice Universe and one not visited as frequently as most in the world of Armchair Imagineering.

While Mickey, Don and Hulk are up to something in Dubai, they've given you the deed of creating a distraction of some sort. This distraction will require your teams to lay the foundation for what will be a new theme park in the area based on properties from the 20th Century Studios portfolio.

For this challenge, teams will create a SINGULAR LAND/ZONE to headline a new 20th Century Studios park that is to be built in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

There is absolutely no shortage of competition in the area and the Program Guide will be your friend to get a glimpse of what you are up against. Indoor, outdoor, or a mixture, it is entirely up to you. As this is blue sky, any deed of land in the area not currently in use, is yours. Feel free to choose a location and plan a rough layout of a park entry to help with your planning if you desire, but the main focus of the challenge is what you can do with one 20th Century Studios focused land in this market.

As you will see from the Program Guide, some IP usage can be messy (Marvel, Dreamworks, etc.), but if the IP can be tied back to 20th Century Studios and it’s not already in use locally, it is fair game. To help you in this journey, we’ve compiled a list of potential IP’s in the Program Guide, but if you have a questions about one not covered (there are many), please feel free to reach out to your hosts.

Tips
- Choose a theme that inspires you the most. The theme can be as realistic or unorthodox as you’d like, it's the execution and passion that counts.
- Know your competition and what has/hasn’t been done!
- Don’t hold back on your creativity. If there’s a remote chance it can be done (no matter the cost), it will be done in Dubai/Abu Dhabi!
