Roger already has the Liberty Belle’s original bell, why not give it the riverboat’s original whistle? Roger is the perfect locomotive to keep the voice of the Liberty Belle when it’s gone.

Also, the new whistle is Crosby 5-inch diameter 3-chime, NOT a Baldwin.

I was wondering about that, since the locomotive wiki thought it was a Baldwin. I was suspecting that it wasn’t a Baldwin because it didn’t sound the same as Walter's Baldwin; it sounds closer to Roy's American. (EDIT: the wiki did say Crosby).

I do wonder whether or not this change is permanent; I’m hoping that Lilly Belle doesn’t lose her Buckeye down the line as that whistle is iconic to the railroad.
